Those are a good brand. However you would need 2 of the 36in fixtures to be powerful enough. The 24 in would not guarantee you could keep anything. Even with 2. Additionally neither of those would fit very well over your 30in tank. Now the 24in ones might have legs that would allow it to, but I don't know exactly. Using two of these would allow you to use actinics in one and daylights ion the other for a dusk to dawn and daylight effect. Adding Leds for a moonlight effect if desired. However the Clamp on MH would give a shimmer in the water that T5's wont. They do make a 4 and six bulb version that i cant say anything bad about. Either of those in the 36in cataegory or the 24in in the 6 bulb category will get you where you want to be nicely.If they'll fit?
