thank you for all the information. Yes i have been reading alot of info on this site. Which has been great. I konw time time... I am waiting to do anything.

I will with out a dought wait till end of month if not longer. When i do cycle about how much of a water change will i need to do? I was thinking around 5-7 gallons?
I have 3 lfs in this area I only like one of them as far as there setup and look of there tanks and supplies. I always refer back to here for the real info.
I have been looking at a satelite fixture for the tank is that a good light and what restrictions would there be as to what can be put in the tank?

ok dont lol remember Iam new to this I was looking at my tank to night after I did my testing. I noticed a couple two tone catapillar looking worms is this normal? All I have in the tank is lr & ls and this point It has only been a a week Wednesday. All my test are still the same. but I do Have some worm looking things. and spmething crawling on the glass that looks like a small snail to small to tell. LOL I dont know but fun to check it out???

That is a bristleworm...harmless, eats detrius, just don't touch them...the bristles sting

Yes thank you I was wondering . Remember awhile back that husband of my said I was Crazy well his crazy butt was all up checking out the worms and so called little snail and all excited so much for me being crazy he is getting into and we havent even put any fish or such yet. LOL

Hi and welcome. The compact lights would be good if you want to do a softy tank. This is what most new people start with and even some of us that have been in it a while. There are many corals that would do well with the satellite fixture.
zoos (come in lots of colors) , mushrooms (come in lots of colors), leathers (several differant shapes) , xenia, kenya trees, colt, ricordia, clove polyps.
as for your cycle, you can ghost feed your tank to help the cycle along. put a little fish food in, wait a day, test. if ammonia showing, wait another day to see if it goes a way. You are wanting to build the good bacteria that eats the ammonia.

Yes that is the exact one i was looking at Iam going to order in a little while. I belive that will work fine for my needs &wants at this time. Thank you both for the input. Yes I have been looking all over I found them for 125.00 and it is the double one as well.
