I have that light on my 54g...works great...The only thing I did not like was the moonlight was the white light, so I bought a blue led moonlight and placed it on top of the tank...

Thanks more to come I will be testing the water again all readings were normal. So I will see what it is up to later.

Ok Tuesday 559 I put the LS in. Then Thursday 579 I put 13 pounds base rock & 13 pounds of LR and I did a test of water it came out today
PH 8.0
Ammon=.25
nitrite=0
nitrate=0
salt @1.023
This is where iam at how often do i need to test the water??

Daily...your ammonia should start going down, and then your nitrites should rise,,,,

I have read diffrent info. once my tank cycles i will change some water yes? and then should I put in a fish or a clean up crew?
and if is is cuc what should it consist of and how much????

CUC first...for a 30g...maybe 6 cerith and 6 nassarius snails...
BUT not until ALL levels are at 0...and your diatoms begin

ok here I go I know time is the best thing. Yes Iam a newbie and excited to get fish but I wont until the time is right for the little guys.
But here is what I have 60 pounds of live sand yes I wanted a deep bed & 13 pounds of base rock & 13 pounds of live rock. I have beeb fake feeding.

LOL..it will happen...once you start getting some algae, after all levels stay at 0...you can start with some of your clean up crew
