they are not large. They seem fine in there. I will closely monitor them. If they can't live in the 5 gal, where can they go?? The 200 gal won't be plumbed and ready to go for a bit.

Yeah it's my female and male. I decided today that I am taking them to an LFS to trade in. They can't go into the new tank, unless they're hosting, since I have the maroon, but the maroon is hosting...
Which brings me to another point. I got rid of my condylactus anemone because every time I said I had one, people made this face and told me how it was bad and would eat my fish and get huge. I bought a green bubble tip. He was fine yesterday, now he is about the size of a quarter and squashed on to the side of a rock. I don't know if it's my lights? They're like 4 watts per gallon... or if it's the water or something? He was cool, but not now, I don't think... Any ideas? I would hate to see him die. The condy was happy as a clam in there...

Well I have high output t5s. the anemone is in my 45gal. he is fine now. Apparently, he does things like that. He is a green bubble tip. I came home today a bit later and he is dandy. I just got a little spooked.
so my angel and gorgonian came today and they are great! angel is happy and loving my destroyed aqua scaping. My old tank is a pile of rubble. and he is swimming in and out and in and out. It's suuucchhhh an ugly mess and will be like that for almost another week.
I took my clowns in today. I am really sad to see them go
They were my first real fish. (I got a crab 1st)... I am really really sad to see them go. They were good fishies. I hope someone nice buys them and they like them as much as I did.

So- - - I am looking into LEDs for my new tank. Looks like we can DIY a set up that would be the same as a 254watt MH output, for 600 bucks. maybe more like 800. What do we think? I really don't know what lights to get though. MH? t5? LEDs? Combination??? What can I do?!?!?!
HELP!

okay so I have started an equipment list of DEFINITE things going onto/into the tank:
Closed loop flow only system run on a little giant 4 (800gph) with 2 intakes (plumbed to 1) and 2 outs (plumbed from 1 into 2).
big bad-arse intake with 4 holes (2 in, 2 out).
we decided on 2 Hamilton 250 watt MH lighting. (our tank has a big center bracing that is almost a foot wide) They will be cable suspended inside the custom canopy (when we get that down the road).
We are toying around with the idea of a back up battery. I see many of you saying things like "I went out of town and lost power" or I went to bed and when I woke up my fish were all dead because a breaker tripped". Things like that. I think this would save me alot of heartache? Does anyone have experience with backups? We use them on the MACs but never for a tank...
As far as that goes, we were thinking to separate batteries (both nearly 2 Kw) and hooking one up to the closed loop flow system and one up to something else... What would be the best option for the second battery? We were thinking either the filter/ sump or maybe just the skimmer for there would be extraction of waste, but not waste the battery?? thoughts?

Also I was thinking a tunze skimmer. It's about 400 bucks and it supposed to be pretty independant. I don't really know. Who uses what skimmers? Why do you like them and what are pros and cons??
Come on people... Let's get some info!!! I'm challenged by technology, even the saltwater kind!!!!

Thanks lil bro. hehe
SOOOOO I have a proposed stock list. Anybody interested??
Basically what I did was went through SWF and a few other online places w/ pics and descriptions and picked the ones I would like to keep together. I don't know a lot about compatibility though, so if people could tell me about their own experience with keeping these fish, either together or just from owning one, it would be awesome. So far though, I am not getting a lot of help. I also know that some of the things is online descriptions are often not how it plays out in a real life aquarium.
