NFL Divisional Playoffs...Who you like?

Hey Trig...how about that USC quarterback playing for the Cards right now, he looks to be SOOOOOOOOOO much better than QBs from other schools (Chad Henne, Joe Flacco, either one of those Manning guys, Drew Brees, Phillip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers, etc...).
You have to be hoping that Warner NEVER retires, or at least as long as Leinart is his primary back-up! I think that it may be time to take the backing off of that "BUST" label that people have been getting ready to apply to him!!!

Ah, taking a shot at a guy while he's down....Not surprising from an Ohioian.
A. I'm a Washington Husky...But yes I like the Trojans, have always liked Pete, and Rocky Seto (D-Coordinator this year and long time Trojan Assistant) is a quasi-friend of mine.
B. For a Buckeye to pick on a Trojan QB is laughable, the greatest ever Buckeye QB is the "great" Troy Smith whom couldn't even beat out a rookie from Delaware last year.
USC has 3 starting QB's in the league, 4 next year if Warner retires, and I believe he very well might.
C. Being a backup QB in this league is sooooo hard, when a starter goes down it takes the backup 2 or 3 games to get up to speed in almost every case (Matt Cassell being a great example), you should know this from Mangini playing musical QB's this year. When Lienart was the starter before breaking his collar bone his second year, he played quite well. Last year, it went down to the last preseason game of the year for HOFer Kurt Warner to beat Leinart out, become an MVP candidate and lead the Cards to the SB. I'm hardly saying he will be great, but I look forward to Leinart getting a chance as the starter. Your basing his being a "bust on what? Being bad in "mop up duty", and getting beat out by Kurt Warner???

BTW the one game he started this year he played pretty well, it took a last second TD by Vince Young, AT TENNESSEE, while they were in the midst of a 6 game winning streak to beat him.

the Buckeye is not picking on the Trojan QB, he is picking on the person that has said that the Trojans are more or less a QB factory...exactly what have their QBs won on the next level...Palmer? Nothing. Leinart? Nothing. Cassel? Nothing. John David Booty? Yeah...NO. Sanchez? The jury is still out, but HE didn't win the game last week, he just didn't lose it (which I wish the Browns QBs would do, avoid losing the game).
Also...not taking a shot at ya while you are down...I was simply making a point regarding their "QB of the future". I would actually classify myself as a Cardinal "quasi-fan". I loved Beanie at OSU and have always respected the hell out of Fitz.

Watching the Cardinals play defense the last couple weeks reminds me of watching Baylor play Texas (for example), even if they get to the ball, they can't tackle the guy with it until they get 5 or more yards....Not sure what happened, this defense looked pretty good at times this year.

oops, that wasn't good. I sat down, watched the first play, woke up at the end of the first quarter and next thing I know it is 21 to 7.

Hehehehe, so the worst player in the NFL (Reggie Bush, according to Mark Schlereth, trying to find the vid) sure had one heck of a game yesterday...

I think Bush was a victim of believing his own press too much. Looks to me like he is getting his work ethic back. Can't wait for next season.
If the Cowgirls can find a way to keep the vikes out of the backfield Dallas still has a chance.

Of course you are, you'd have to be to root for the COwboys

Cowboys need more talent on the line. Romo is OK but he isn't the kind of QB that is going to do will with people in his face.

They didn't and they don't.
The Packings (Favre has way too much Packer in him to be a full Viking, that's why so many long time Packer fans are pulling for the Vikings; a team we usually despise. The Bears/Packers rivalry is, arguably, the best rivalry in sports. But it is fun and built on mutual respect. The Pack & Vikings fans really dislike each other. But watching Favre for so long has been so great, that a lot of us have to be a Viking fans, until they win their 1st Super Bowl in 3 weeks. BTW, the last in-your-face TD by Favre today was great! If the Cryboys don't want to get scored on--play defense until the final gun. Watching the Crybows lose that way was an second only to a Packer win. Packings and Saints should be a great game...Favre & Co. by 3.

I disagree, I think he handles pressure better than average. But 6 sacks, there isn't a qb in the league that can handle that...

Hello?, if he was so good under pressure he would have avoided those sacks.

Yeah; learning how to get rid of the ball is the first big learning step from college to pro. Romo just doesn't do it well at all; or is just missing that 6th sense of knowing who is where at all times.

Ok, Buckeye Boy....Kirk's Dictionary definition of a "QB Factory"...
QB Factory-A College or University in which most of the programs starting Quarterbacks excel enough in College to move on to play football at the next level (see National Football League), thus making the program attractive to elite high school Quarterbacks wishing to become future NFL Quarterbacks....See also Quarterback USC and Quarterback University of Washington.

Once Romo felt pressure today, the play was done....He looked shellshocked.
