The plain in simple fact is we dont deserve to be in the playoffs and we are not , we were wAY to inconsistant , Injury Plagued , we didnt play like we wanted it down the stretch ... we were 6-3 then we dropped off 2 - 5 , the redskins wanted it so they went out and took it winning 5 straight and slapping us in the face while doing it 35 -7 , we wouldnt have been in the play offs regardless NY had 9 home games , because we had a series push with them , and not only did they have a better div record they beat more common opponents , The Saints were flat out awfull and if theyu played that game in australia it wouldve had the same outcome ....... I am a cowboy fan and i can admit that we didnt deserve the playoffs , we gave up leads in the forth qaurter thinking the game was over , and it came back and bit us in the butt at the end of the season , granted we beat some tough teams we also lost to some horrible teams , and when your QB cant stand up for more than 3 seconds , nothing good is gonna happen because then you rely on the run which isnt going to do much with the O line that we had .......... If Flozell stayed healthy it may have been a different story ... I also dont agree with people saying parcells has to go , he is a great coach and he brought great players to the team , and he has a good young defense 3-4 defense setup in

[hr]
and ware ...... you can blame our season on kicking and the O line and the long snapper because thats where everything fell apart. Parcells did everything he could to try and fix that , Dump Cortez , sign suisham , dump suisham , sign cundiff , dump cundiff , sign suisham again. .......... Also i dont agree with people saying get a real QB ..... Bledsoe is a great QB he is tough .... one downfall he holds the ball to long ......... he is still the most solid guy weve had since early aikman (which i despise now due to his lack of skill when anouncing on TV i think him and joe buck are butt buddies) Bledsoe was on fire when he had protection .... what can you blame him for when he gets hit 23 times a game. Julius Jones had another Injury PLagued year which leaves me to believe we should be concentrating on Barber and Thompson and use Jones as Trade or Draft Bait , My Main Concerns this coming offseason ..... Keep Keyshawn on the team ........ Keep Parcells ......... Stay away from Owens ........ attack some young proven Lineman ....... Look for a solid kicker in FA ........... Sign Dan Campbell ......... and lose sean payton
I agree Parcells should stay. But the decision is his. Jones wants to keep him. Keyshawn will stay. We actually got a full season from Glenn, which is a good sign but he didn't do much the last half due to line trouble and Bledsoe being hit so much. Keep Jones, him and Barber are a good combo and Jones may work out his injury problem, I can think of a few backs cut or moved for this reason that later became studs and had limited injuries the rest of their career.
Jones may go after Owens, I am on the Fence with this. I would not give him a long term contract. One year only. This way if he causes problems we aren't stuck like the Eagles. He could be beneficial and Jones and company have a history of making problem players work. Parcells as well, he has a no nonsense attitude. Look at Lawrence Taylor under Parcells. Find a kicker and as you said a young solid lineman. Resign Dan Cambell as well. I do not see a huge problem at center/long snapper so I wouldn't be surprised to see this left alone. I would even Keep Sean Payton It wasn't his fault we crumpled at the end and the personel around him faultered occasionally.

Here is an example of their attitude.
Buddy Ryan Defensive coach to The kicker Butler.
"So you're our Kicker now?"
"yep."
"We wasted a draft pick on you?"
I love that exchange.

That year in 1985 the Bears were arguably the best team ever....they certainly would rank close to the top. But yes, it was not a lasting claim to fame.
I was never a fan of Buddy Ryan.....but I enjoyed his line regarding the run and shoot offense...I believe he called it the chuck and duck offense.
Sean Payton is supposed to interview for the Saints job.
My bad on the offensive ranking stat...I was going from memory which has been known to malfunction at times.

One of the all-time famous quotes has to be from John Mckay the original coach of the the Tampa bay Bucs. When asked what he thought about his teams execution he said he was in favor of it.

Some of my favorite quotes:
Bo Jackson:
If my mother put on a helmet and shoulder pads and a uniform that wasn't the same as the one I was wearing, I'd run over her if she was in my way. And I love my mother.
Ray Lewis, to Elvis Grbac:
You don't have to win it, just don't lose it.
Bruce Coslet:
We can't run. We can't pass. We can't stop the run. We can't stop the pass. We can't kick. Other than that, we're just not a very good football team right now.

1) "I didn't get up when that train hit me, I just laid there and watched." -Ex Bears coach Mike Ditka, after watching his Bears lose to the Vikings 45 - 13.
2) "Football is a cold, cold business and in New England it's even colder." -Ex Cowboy's Linebacker Eugene Lockhart, after learning he was traded to New England.
3) "His personnel phone bill was too high." - Ex Falcon's coach Jerry Glanville commenting why he cut then Linebacker, Marcus Cotton. Cotton had 2 car phones, 1 for business calls and 1 for personnel calls.
4) "Well, we've determined that we can't win at home and we can't win on the road. What we need is a neutral site." -Ex Buccaneers coach John McKay.
5) "I'm in favor of it." -Ex Buccaneers coach John McKay when asked by a reporter what he thought of his teams execution.
6) "I was afraid I'd get shot." -Ex Falcons OT Lincoln Kennedy, when asked if he voted in the last election.

how about
in a screeeachey voice..."Playoffs? Plaaayoffs?" Jim Mora
or "This is the NFL which stands for Not For Long if you keep making calls like that" Jerry Glanville to a new Line Judge, and that Line Judge is still in the league and Glanville isn't...

The TX defense did not win the game last night. Giving up 38 points is far from a great defensive performance. I believe the TX offense putting 41 points on the board is what did it....plus benefiting from some questionable calls from the sideline, a missed call by the officials and a horrible decison by the HT winner to lateral in traffic.
I am not bashing the Bucs....I am simply stating I do not believe they will win the game. I have stated why....based on an inexperienced QB that is slightly below average as an nfl QB at best. Perhaps he will grow up in the playoffs and get the job done. .....I don't see it happening.
I've been wrong before and could be wrong again.......no biggie...calm down

They did not shut down the USC offense. I actually thought they would do a better job and hold them to 20 points or less . Sorry, 38 points does not equal a shut down performane IMO. 20 points are fewer given the capbility of the USC offense would have been a pretty impressive performance.
Some may agree with you due to one fourth down stop in the fourth quarter. 41-38 does not equal a strong defensive performance by either team. It was an offensive shoot out in the second half.

This is easy.
Is there any team in the world more "due" than the Bengals.
They will of course win the bowl. But the game of the century will occur during the championship game in Indi when the Bengals win the shoot out in OT 73-70

there were so many bad calls in that game that favored texas .......... even the anouncing was one sided , they might as well have put aikman and joe buck up there ........ i dont even watch college and im not a fan of USC or TEXAS , so i believe honestly from a nuetral stand point Texas was givin a huge gift especially at the end of the game where he was clearly down before he crossed the goal line
