I read it. And also read the other thread that's there. And it convinced me to not buy the lights. I saw on a website a sunpod 150w 14k bulb for $230.00. Is that a good price?
Also I realized I'm taking this to fast. I have to slow down. And stop dosing as you guys recommended.
cheaper than i paid.. I paid 250

dam! so do i. well not its gonna be hard to convince my dad to go from an 80 buck light to a 230 metal halide.
rebel what do you think it is that my zoas were like that with there head stretch out? could it be the lack of light? or water quality?

It could be both and it could be neither...
Almost all my zoas have the strecthing stalks... Arms ahave bee that way forever and I know it isnt light. Some are just light and some arent.
But then again it could be lights or the water quality... Try moving them closer to the lights and see how they look after a week

i have. the flat rock with the zoas that i got recently were like 4 inches away from the surface and they still have stretching stalks. like really long. and now that they are in my bro tank which he has more light then me they are like flat to the ground. also some like melted!
so to my beliefs its the lights. also if it was the water quality then howcome my candy, favia, and frogspawn were doing good. dont they need better water quality?
