i happen to like tattoos on women.
60 and 70 year old men

I think a small tat or 2 is fine but when they ink up it just looks nasty as hell to me.

ha...not the 60 and 70 year old men i've spoken to. are you referring to what they would settle for, or what they like?

I so have to jump in and say I DONT GIVE A DAMN WHO LIKE THEM OR NOT
I DO!!!! U would NEVER know I had them if u met me on the street
Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has them
I am also an office manager in an Allstate Insurance office and have been for 5 years. No one cares IF they see my tats. ALL of them can be covered IF I choose
All of my pieces also have tons of meaning behind them and will NEVER regret them even when Im 80 (god willing)
I do however believe that one CAN go too far with their "art" (like Kat VonD)but I will NEVER judge
Oh and I too have if u must call it a "tramp stamp" that I ADORE!!! Its my butterfly and if ya cant tell I kinda have a thing for butterflies

If you don't care what people think, then why did you start a thread about your tats?

That's fine and I am sure I wouldn't post anything negative about your tank...unless it was in some way constructive.
I'm sorry, who would start a thread about their tattoos and then say in another thread you don't care who likes them or not. If that were the case then they'd never start a thread about their tats....

Those who enjoy body art have had liberal use of SWF off-topic forum to post up there personal experiences, and pictures, so when an alternative topic comes along to discuss alternative opinions, it would be wise if no one take personal offense.
As long as the discussion does not get rude or hostile, or personally negative, we will leave the various tattoo discussions up, including this one. However, we can also close them all down if we can't have reasonable respect for each of our views...Views belong to the individual who holds that view, and is not a reflection on anyone else.

i can't stand things like this tattoos are tattoos. times are different now. they have become much more socially acceptable i remember when i first started getting tattooed 1o years ago i was looked at in disgust. that was a small piece on the forearm ,now people are actually starting to say oh hey nice work, who did that, now that i have about 75% of my body covered, and btw my girlfriend has a good amount of ink and i gotta say she looks damn good too. tattoos don't make the person.i understand that people are entitled to they're own opinions. however in most instances comments should be kept to themselves.
example: a heavy set person would not enjoy being called fat or disgusting.
how do u think rude comments people make about tattooed people feel. just cuz we get tattooed doesn't mean we're numb to comments.

Just like I am free to say if you call my girlfriend trashy then I have the right to call you close minded . Its my opinion that to call somebody trashy with out even knowing them is close minded . Thats the same as basing judgment on the kind of house they live in or the car they drive .

Wow you really talk to her like that ? You would honestly stop thinking the woman you married for better or worse was "hot" because she chooses to express her self with tattoo's and body piercings ?

i agree. maybe reefmate75 you need think about why ur with her to begin with. tattoos don't change who the person was prior to having tattoos.

I openly admit that I hold a double standard.
I DO have tattoos, some not so friendly to everyone. I keep anything that I can away from her view. I dont hide them but from her, but I do keep them in places where she doesnt have to look at them when we are together.
So even while I have tattoos I think they are mistakes on women. No matter how classy or how tasteful. I just personally dont find them attractive in the least.
My wife has two tiny little ones on her foot but they are sizes almost like jokes. She got them while I was getting larger pieces done at a friends shop. They are tasteful and clean. Good quality and nice work but I would definatley put up a stink if they were any larger.
EVEN THOUGH I HAVE HUGE ONES.
HAHAHAHA arent opinions awesome!
Some good news is that tattoos mean less and less nowadays. Ony a dozen years ago it was a huge deal to have sleeves. Now it means nothing.
For better or worse to those trying to look "extreme"
On my children? Nothing on the face, nothing below the sleeves till age of 30, and if it is gang or drug related then I get dibbs on skinning it off of them with a rusty butterknife at ANY age.
Of course.....this is Just MY oppinion so feel free to just ignore it if you dont agree.
