Mine's coming along slowly but surely. I'm at that point now where I have to make myself step back and go slow...must remember that the tank is actually only 6 or so months old (post-cycle) and still too new to go hog-wild. That being said....yes, I have new coral coming in tomorrow. AND still on the lookout for a couple specific fish. LOL.
How many of us feed the tank after lights-out? I do once every month or so it seems. I came out late last night and my favites colony was open and hungry looking, as was the yellow scroll and the green rose coral. I turned off the return pump and gave everyone a dose of Zoe2.0 and phytoplankton. Does anyone else stay up late to feed nocturnal corals?
I do once a week. I have a beautiful blosom of Sun Coral (yellow, orange and black), serious forrest of Aussie Duncans, and of coarse the monster jem, the Elegance. I too shut the lights out for roughly an hour or so, chop and mix up my food, and once the sun coral open up I feed them and the other coral mentioned while the fish are tucked in their caves. I let it sit for 15 minutes or so and turn the powerheads on. Then move the media tray over and turn the pump on. twenty minutes later, I replace the media tray and go shower and go to bed.
