I am so burned out by all these political threads, I'm about to join CFR and El Guapo in their additions of useless information. Anything is better than beating the dead horse called politics. I mean, Obama got the presidency, right? And we should usually only debate whether or not political figures should carp or get off the pot with respect to political issues and scenarios.
Well, obama carped. case closed. Now we wait and see what happens next.... Yes? Please?

What an interesting concept, who would have ever thought to do that??

Seriously though, it would be nice.

Personally I thought I heard a date of 18 months before we start the withdrawal of troops. I would be disappointed if we haven't reduced our numbers in Iraq and increased our numbers in Afghanistan after 18 months. JMO.

Thanks for the candid, straight forward answer. My father in law said the same thing as well, 18 months. He expects there to be talks about withdrawl by 8 months and a plan for it...He voted for Obama and expects to see something done by the 18 month mark.

The world was celebrating while only 23% of current US military personal voted for him.... What does that tell you?
The world wants the United States to be weaker
, not stronger.

You didn't answer the question. How long do you give him to get us out of Iraq and take the war fully to Afghanistan? How long before you are mad about a lack of action by him?
Reading this today. apparently the goal is 16 months...
One obvious focus will be the war in Iraq. After two years spent more on the campaign than in the Senate, McCain will return as the ranking Republican on the Armed Services Committee. That will put the four-term Arizona senator in a position to influence Obama's plan to set a 16-month timeline to withdraw U.S. troops from combat in Iraq.

Let's see...last time I heard, they only get Armed Forces Radio which is partisan radio. They don't allow the left/progressive view to be heard. I'm sure there were misinformation being promoted as well so it doesn't surprise me they voted like that.
The world will look up to the US again. I don't call that getting weaker. You fail.

So wrong on so many levels. Might want to consider the facts before reaching for conclusions.
