there is nothing "funny" about dropping bombs on innocent people! not in Japan, not in Iraq, or anywhere else. we call them savages yet we are the only country to ever detonate that type of bomb in a live situation in the history of mankind. we slaughtered more people in one day then in most wars combined. and i didn't say we were terrorist's but we have dirt and blood on our hands too. this country is only a few hundred years old, and look at all of our "great accomplishments" As soon as we got here we started killing the natives, tricking them into signing over there land and basically there lives. Then there was the slavery thing, and the indentured servant thing, then racism, the depression, world wars, religious fanatisism, covert op's or "false flag op's" involved in the overthrow of foriegn governments, some good democratic governments ( Egypt ) and replacing them with dictators ( Iraq, Egypt, etc... ) Americans deny the skeletons in thier own closet! we arent ALWAYS the good guys... and when a good guy comes along you mock him or give him false titles like "socialist", "eliteist", "terrorist" lol! you cant even recognise goodness when its right in your face, the whole world likes the guy, both our friends and our enemies. and IMO its because all you care about is your backyard, and winning the "game" from the safety of your lazyboy. but im the nut???

the facts are that the U.N. inspectors nor the U.S. military EVER found any WMD's in Iraq. Saddam was broke due to sanctions but kept the peace in the country and never allowed religious fanaticals, or terrorist organizations into Iraq. The facts are the Bin Laden despised Saddam, and didn't consider him a Muslim. the facts are that Osama Bin Laden became angry with th U.S. when he was denied the right to push Saddam out of Kuwait himself. Watching Infidels fighting in a muslim country angered him especially our female personal. Saddam Hussien and Osama Bin Laden were not only polar opposites but enemies and never worked together, there is also NO EVIDENCE connecting the two EVER! Lets take a look at these two characters, because our government knows both of them very well. We gave Saddam weapons to fight the Iranians, and legitimised him as the ruler of Iraq. We gave Bin Laden weapons to fight the Russians and he was Bush Sr.'s #1 middle eastern informant when he was the head of the cia. Our government knew full well there was no link between the two because they knew both men. Saddam was the guy in Armani suits, eating gazel, drinking jack daniels, listening to Sinatra, and entertaining in his many palaces. Bin Laden was the guy in simple robes sitting on the floor in the basement of some tiny mosque, praying nine times a day, and eating with his hands. and we knew that!

Fun facts about the reasons we decided to invade Iraq after 9-11
Al Qaeda-Iraq links

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2004Jun16.html
"The staff report said that bin Laden "explored possible cooperation with Iraq" while in Sudan through 1996, but that "Iraq apparently never responded" to a bin Laden request for help in 1994. The commission cited reports of contacts between Iraq and al Qaeda after bin Laden went to Afghanistan in 1996, adding, "but they do not appear to have resulted in a collaborative relationship. Two senior bin Laden associates have adamantly denied that any ties existed between al Qaeda and Iraq. We have no credible evidence that Iraq and al Qaeda cooperated on attacks against the United States."
Before the pharmaceutical plant was reduced to rubble by American cruise missiles, the CIA was secretly gathering evidence that ended up putting the facility on America's target list. Intelligence sources say their agents clandestinely gathered soil samples outside the plant and found, quote, "strong evidence" of a chemical compound called EMPTA, a compound that has only one known purpose, to make VX nerve gas.
Then, the connection:
The U.S. had been suspicious for months, partly because of Osama bin Laden's financial ties, but also because of strong connections to Iraq. Sources say the U.S. had intercepted phone calls from the plant to a man in Iraq who runs that country's chemical weapons program.
The senior intelligence officials who briefed reporters laid out the collaboration. "We knew there were fuzzy ties between [bin Laden] and the plant but strong ties between him and Sudan and strong ties between the plant and Sudan and strong ties between the plant and Iraq." Although this official was careful not to oversell bin Laden's ties to the plant, other Clinton officials told reporters that the plant's general manager lived in a villa owned by bin Laden.
Several Clinton administration national security officials told THE WEEKLY STANDARD last week that they stand by the intelligence. "The bottom line for me is that the targeting was justified and appropriate," said Daniel Benjamin, director of counterterrorism on Clinton's National Security Council, in an emailed response to questions. "I would be surprised if any president--
with the evidence of al Qaeda's intentions evident in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam and the intelligence on [chemical weapons] that was at hand from Sudan--would have made a different decision about bombing the plant.""
Iraq was known to be planning strikes on US

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/europe...ussia.warning/
""I can confirm that after the events of September 11, 2001, and up to the military operation in Iraq, Russian special services and Russian intelligence several times received ... information that official organs of Saddam's regime were preparing terrorist acts on the territory of the United States and beyond its borders, at U.S. military and civilian locations," Putin said.""
So we have a country with known contacts with the terrorist group that hit us 9-11-2001. EVERY major intellegence agency in the world believed they had WMD's. Even Russian President Vladmir Putin says Iraq was looking for a way to make a terrorist strike on the US. I'd say thats a pretty good reason for the invasion

See that is the problem with you people, it is always american's fault you don't believe in our expectionalism. Our greatness, which is fine, but since you don't believe in, you shouldn't be running it. We aren't perfect, but show me someone who is?
I'm sorry, obama isn't a good guy, he has a socialist agenda he has no clue about economics, foreign policy, heck even gun clinging middle america. Keep believing everything, CNN, and reporters tell you to think and believe, ignore the stuff they tell you to ignore think the way they tell you to think. That is fine, But you know what
you are right, terrorists, socialists, and marxists do like him. That in and of itself should say something.

the 1.5 million is the estimated death toll in Iraq from both wars and sanctions by both the U.N. and the WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION look it up for yourself. IMO there conservative figures, but they are ACTUAL figures nonetheless. As for the pipeline, Bush ( current ) had the ole Taliban down on his ranch in Crawford when he was gov'ner. trying to convince them of said pipeline. this is video documented fact, the Taliban leader had a press conference in Crawford and insulted a female journalist, its on youtube, again look it up for yourself. Military and Haliburton engineers were in Afghanistan in August of 01 planning the pipeline, the paper trail has been well documented but obviously not in the "mainstream" media. but you can easily find it. As for the Denmark company running the oil operations... you dont want to know and wouldn't believe me if i told you anyways..
there was no evidence that Al Queda or Taliban runners were entering Iraq or Iran, none, and that my friend is a lie. Pakistan definately, but the Iranians helped oust the Taliban and Al Queda from Afghanistan! most Americans dont know that, but its a fact. They were also praying for Americans on 9/12 in Iran, the Ayatollah spoke to millions and said killing innocents is wrong wether it be Hiroshima, Rwhanda, or New York. The Iranians guarded there borders against Al Queda and the Taliban, while our "friends" in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan let them in, funded them, and hid them. The Iranians in mosques were chanting death to terrorists back then... now there chanting death to amercians...

This statement right here shows your lack of historical comprehension and even your lack of comprehension for current events. We originally went in because of WMD, the population of the U.S. supported this to the tune of 65-70% of the population. The news all the broadcasted was WMD, no one once reported a revenge reason for 9/11 before we went in. You my friend must suffer from amnesia.
Let me give you a quick rundown of what happenned. When we invaded Afghanistan, MANY al qaeda members fled to pakistan Iraq and Iran. This is an undisputed FACT. The insurgents we are fighting now many are Al Qaeda operatives.
You say we keep ignoring what you are saying, we are not, there have been wild claims made in the last 2 pages of this thread. None of them backed up with one single shred of proof or a link, from the 1.5 million casualties to the mythical pipeline.
Oh and that reminds me, if we went in for oil so we could control it, why is a company from Denmark in charge of the day to day operation of the oil in Iraq...not a U.S. company. I am curious how you will twist this.

I am open minded for the most part. Crimzy who used to take part in these debates showed me a lot of things in the past that changed or at least moved my views a bit. All I am asking for is a link...or some form of credibility on your end. That is all...you repeatedly say look it up, we have ran searches and found nothing, obviously we are not as savy as you when it comes to researching certain things. So help us out if what you say is TRUE. Cause until you do, I classify you in the same category as those people that think our government caused 9/11....

I was correcting all the other claims you made when I ran accross this and figured it was just easier to display your glaring lack of knowledge on the subject you are trying to debate.
So Osama was Bushes #1 informant when Bush was head of the CIA?
That is interesting
Russia invaded in 1979, when do you suppose Bush left the CIA

You might want to read any of the links I posted as far as the Iraq/Al Qaeda connections as well as review the many stories about Saddam's open support for Islamic Terrorist in the Palestenian terratory.
Might also want to study up on salmon pak

You mean the political speech given by a candidate at a church in obvious violation of the law? It would be nice if the IRS would actually enforce its own rules once in a while.
By the way, what Obama said about deadbeat fathers is one of the few things he has gotten right. Unfortunatly the Government fix he proposes is all wrong. That has to be an attitude change in the community. I remember when people were actually embarrased to admit they has a kid (or several) they didn't take an active role in raising.

how it was edited? and basically an agument for the expansion of social programs. While telling stories how fathers are deadbeats, (not all of them but there were more stories about strong woman then strong men I find that funny in a fathers day speach.) I'm still wondering where the critics in the media of Obama are, I mean the huckster got slammed for being a former baptist pastor, obama is sitting behind a pulpit giving a political speech, and I hear nothing but praise for it. I just don't understand.

That was not a political speech. Its something he been doing before this election. Reaching out to the community. As a child who grew up without a father he was reaching out for men to take on that roll of fatherhood. If he can convince one man to take care of his child then that takes a burden off the welfare system. He talked about rewarding fathers who take care of their kids and make it more tough for those who did not.
He also talked about kids, did you miss that. Wanting kids to strive for more. Listen to the whole speech please.

Another terrorist supporter for NObama 2008
....
Alsammarae, an Iraqi-American Chicagoan, added during remarks carried by Radio Sawa (Arabic link) that he had contributed the maximum allowable of $2,300 to Barack Obama’s campaign. But there’s another Obama link to Alsammarae: while serving as electricity minister Alsammarae had been involved in brokering deals in the Iraqi electricity sector for Antoin Rezko, Obama’s long-term friend and patron. Rezko is the Syrian-American hustler who was convicted of fraud in an Illinois court on the day that Obama secured the Democratic nomination. [...]
In an astounding and blatantly treasonous assertion for a U.S. citizenship holder, he stated that “the [insurgency] in Iraq is a legitimate resistance [movement] and it is against occupation and any resistance in the world against occupation is considered legitimate, and I hope that the [insurgency] continues and avenges the Iraqi people and I look forward to expanding its political agenda.”
Kazimi reported that Alsammarae, who "allegedly fled Chicago because the authorities were going to get him on tax evasion," "claimed that he was on his way back to Iraq after being let off the legal hook under the amnesty law and that he is set to re-join Ayad Allawi’s political coalition."
On the matter of Alsammarrae's campaign contributions to Sen. Obama, Kazimi wrote "I wonder how Obama would react to a paycheck and an endorsement from ex-con buddy of Rezko’s who is now braying for more American soldiers to be killed."

Too bad most of what NObama states is contradicted with his far left voting record, associations and judgement. His record is very contrary to his message.
Sorry, I have to look at his record and his judgment and associations as he's not been around that long.
His record indicates he's reaching out for my wallet.

THat's all I ever hear from a NObama supporter..according to his website or speeches...I hardly hear according to his record on ANY important bill he authored and passed with bipartisan support. That's what leaders do.

Not a political speech, are you on drugs or what? He is a candidate for office and was talking about political issues such as...
"Yes, we need more cops on the street. Yes, we need fewer guns in the hands of people who shouldn’t have them. Yes, we need more money for our schools, and more outstanding teachers in the classroom, and more after-school programs for our children. Yes, we need more jobs and more job training and more opportunity in our communities."
" And by the way -- it’s a responsibility that also extends to Washington. Because if fathers are doing their part; if they’re taking our responsibilities seriously to be there for their children, and set high expectations for them, and instill in them a sense of excellence and empathy, then our government should meet them halfway.
We should be making it easier for fathers who make responsible choices and harder for those who avoid them. We should get rid of the financial penalties we impose on married couples right now, and start making sure that every dime of child support goes directly to helping children instead of some bureaucrat. We should reward fathers who pay that child support with job training and job opportunities and a larger Earned Income Tax Credit that can help them pay the bills. We should expand programs where registered nurses visit expectant and new mothers and help them learn how to care for themselves before the baby is born and what to do after -- programs that have helped increase father involvement, women’s employment, and children’s readiness for school. We should help these new families care for their children by expanding maternity and paternity leave, and we should guarantee every worker more paid sick leave so they can stay home to take care of their child without losing their income."
Yep, he wasn't campaigning from the pulpit.

Take it from someone that lives IN OBAMA land. The only reason he has the record he does is King Emil Jones the State Senate President forced everyone off the bills to give them to Obama when he was a State Senator. Also Obama only won office when he forced every other candiates petitions to be decertified by let us say less that honorable means. He also was the one that had the Jeri Ryan stuff leaked to keep her now ex husband from wiping the floor with him when he was running for Senate 2 years ago. His campaign tricks make Mr Roves' in 2004 look like Mr Rove was a virgin in a cathouse compared to what Obama will and has done in the past to win.
Very good...you've done your homework unlike others here that are in support of NObama. They simply beleive all of his words without looking to he record and past.

From the Houston Press....
Several months before Obama announced his U.S. Senate bid, Jones called his old friend Cliff Kelley, a former Chicago alderman who now hosts the city's most popular black call-in radio -program.
I called Kelley last week and he recollected the private conversation as follows:
"He said, 'Cliff, I'm gonna make me a U.S. Senator.'"
"Oh, you are? Who might that be?"
"Barack Obama."
Jones appointed Obama sponsor of virtually every high-profile piece of legislation, angering many rank-and-file state legislators who had more seniority than Obama and had spent years championing the bills.
"I took all the beatings and insults and endured all the racist comments over the years from nasty Republican committee chairmen," State Senator Rickey Hendon, the original sponsor of landmark racial profiling and videotaped confession legislation yanked away by Jones and given to Obama, complained to me at the time. "Barack didn't have to endure any of it, yet, in the end, he got all the credit.
"I don't consider it bill jacking," Hendon told me. "But no one wants to carry the ball 99 yards all the way to the one-yard line, and then give it to the halfback who gets all the credit and the stats in the record book."
During his seventh and final year in the state Senate, Obama's stats soared. He sponsored a whopping 26 bills passed into law — including many he now cites in his presidential campaign when attacked as inexperienced.
It was a stunning achievement that started him on the path of national politics — and he couldn't have done it without Jones.
Before Obama ran for U.S. Senate in 2004, he was virtually unknown even in his own state. Polls showed fewer than 20 percent of Illinois voters had ever heard of Barack Obama.
Jones further helped raise Obama's profile by having him craft legislation addressing the day-to-day tragedies that dominated local news -headlines.
For instance. Obama sponsored a bill banning the use of the diet supplement ephedra, which killed a Northwestern University football player, and another one preventing the use of pepper spray or pyrotechnics in nightclubs in the wake of the deaths of 21 people during a stampede at a Chicago nightclub. Both stories had received national attention and extensive local coverage.
I spoke to Jones earlier this week and he confirmed his conversation with Kelley, adding that he gave Obama the legislation because he believed in Obama's ability to negotiate with Democrats and Republicans on divisive issues.
So how has Obama repaid Jones?
Last June, to prove his commitment to government transparency, Obama released a comprehensive list of his earmark requests for fiscal year 2008. It comprised more than $300 million in pet projects for Illinois, including tens of millions for Jones's Senate district.
Shortly after Jones became Senate president, I remember asking his view on pork-barrel spending.
I'll never forget what he said:
"Some call it pork; I call it steak."
CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN
