Oh, sorry...To answer your question, my team is of course the Phoenix Suns
Outlook is tough to say, the West is loaded again from New Orleans, Utah, San Antonio, Houstan, Denver, Dallas, of course the Lakers on paper are the best team in the league with Bynum back and better, and Portland should be a playoff team as well. I hope Shaq is motivated and healthy, and Nash and Hill need to stay healthy, Amare is a monster and one of the top 5 players in the league, Robin Lopez was a good draft choice for Phoenix, and Terry Porter should bring some new fire as coach. I hope Phoenix will return to being one of the NBA elite after a year off of that.
Unfortunately I think Shaq was completely the wrong move for the team last year. His style of play doesn't fit with Phoenix' game. I think their trade, as well as Dallas' last year, made their teams worse. They were desperation moves.
And now, assuming that Phoenix doesn't have the pieces to get it done this year, what do they do for the future? Shaq is probably playing his last year and may not even play that much as he has been injured a lot in recent years. So what will the roster look like next year and after that?
I think that Denver and Dallas (and Phoenix) are pretenders. Houston always intrigues me but can never really get it done. I think that San Antonio will be there in the end, probably with the Lakers.
