Thanks reefraff and mantis I appreciate your comments.
I know I probably stepped on lot of toes here just by posting this but this was getting out of hands from my point of view. I know many good people that are illegal here in Miami, I don't wish them harm nor I wish them deported but they are illegal and they should look into other methods of getting into this country.
Being an immigrant myself and being heavily involved in Korean/American community is South Florida, I come across alot of immigration issues so I know a thing or two about them. I see things from both aspects more in real life then probably any one here.
I have gone to countless times to courts for those who can't properly speak english to help them present their case, courts where they had to be bailed from ice arrests and such. Also I had a cousin that was illegal until he got married.
Why do I volunteer for these people that I don't support? I do it not because I'm liberal and whatever but because as fellow human. I know that many of them are good honest people who came for the right reasons and I would do it out of love and do it gladly but it frustrates me because it's not needed and it's not supposed to be like this. They are trying to save few bucks so they don't hire immigration lawyers or look into the matters themselves to see what is available for them and their ignorance is their own fault.
People might say well they had no time because of religious asylum or political asylum etc etc and I would like to call on their bs because it can't be this many people and I have seen so many people who lied about this.
Do I condone their actions for what they did? Nope. Not one bit. Even my own cousin who extended his visit illegally from student visa because he loved it here. I was one of the few that gave him hard time about it but I was the one who bailed him out whenever he was in trouble. Many of illegal immigrants are wasting our tax money and clogging up our judicial system more then it needs to be and we need to realize that it's thievery. They are stealing from us all and we are letting them because we don't see it and I don't know about you but I'm not big on people stealing from me. There are big difference in between donations that are willingly given and thievery where it's taken from you unwillingly.
Again, just my 2 cents.

Still waiting to hear why Mexico's welfare issue is our responsibility.
Why is Iraq and Afghanistan's rebuilding and paying over a trillion to keep them destitue our problem? You seem to ignore we've spent more in those two countries in the last 10 years, than we've spent supposedly taking care of illegal Mexicans over the last 30.

Why are we even arguing about this?
What is wrong is wrong. Regardless of how nicely you sugar coat it. Republicans, Democrat or liberal or non liberal or whatever or whoever you are. What is illegal is illegal and shouldn't be excused.
It's unfortunate that people were killed and specially the children since they don't know anything better but the adults made the choice and the poor children had to suffer for it. It's their fault.
That is settled.

First of all, I'm Korean/American immigrant and have gone through the immigration process like a normal people so please don't think that I'm being ignorant and giving out biased opinion.
Both my sister and I waited 4 years before we were able to come to US to be reunited with my dad when I was 9. I have paid my taxes since I was 16 and haven't missed it since.
I'm proud to live here and I'm proud to call myself American. As an immigrant, I can't stand it when people come here illegally, taking what naturally belongs to people here and drain out economy.
I have "friends" who are not so close with me any more after I found out that they are doing. Came here illegally, have a baby (medicaid) food stamp/wic for the baby (while getting money from their parents for support), working under the table, no tax, just draining our economy like parasites they are lucky that I don't call ICE on them to get them deported.
Too cold? They have no reason to be here in first place and if they didn't come I wouldn't have to be cold in first place so I blame it on them.
I work in a poor neighborhoods and I see many good people desperate for jobs but that can't compete with these low wage illegal immigrants and it infuriates me. Why does our own have to suffer for someone else that shouldn't even be here? Being here is a privilege and you have to earn it just like how you have to earn your keeps other wise it's stealing and I do not condone thievery of any kind.
Whatever Mexico's wealthy people this and that means jack squat to me because it's in Mexico not here. What matters to me is what goes around here and our economy and well being of our citizens and our residents. Afghanistan, Iraq where ever it is, I don't care. We shouldn't spend money on policing other countries and minding their business. Instead, we need to focus on more on our own country. Our own children/young adults needs better education, better school food and adults need jobs, we need more police and it's more important to us Americans then whatever has to go on over there.
Just my 2 cents.
There are millions of Mexicans who want to "go through theprocess legally", but are told it can take as long as 10 years to do so. How many of those poor desperate Americans are willing to do back-breaking menial jobs like these Mexican immigrants are willing to do? Go ask the farmers in Alabama, where some of the strictly immigration laws have been enacted in the last year, how they've tried numerous times to get Americans to some work their fields, and they work one day and say "Forget it. I can make more on welfare, and don't have to kill myself doing it." You go try living in the economic environment these lower-class Mexicans have to deal with every day. Why didn't you just stay in Korea, and try to make a living for yourself there? Why should Korean's have preferential treatment to immigrate here over Mexicans?

There are in America, 30 million people born in Mexico living here legally. We have legally taken in more than 1 out of 10 Mexican citizens, born in Mexico. Why should we give more access to Mexican citizens than any other race or nationality. If taking over 10% of Mexico's poor isn't enough, that is not our fault or problem. At some time Mexicans have to take responsibility for their sewer pipe of a country and not get rid of their poor by dumping them in America. It isn't fair to every other person out there wanting to come here. If Mexican activists spent half their time in Mexico fighting for the rights of Mexicans in Mexico, maybe they wouldn't be forced to leave their homes and break another country's laws. But then they wouldn't be a tool of the liberals and anti-American LAMDA activists, so we can't have that. And all the other races and nationalities can go to heck, because no one else matters but Mexicans.

Why would California's, or any other state's laws for that matter, be any different.  He lives in Arizone.  Why should he care what they do in California?
Because that is where a study was done showing the drain on "welfare" in the state. Half the country has similar laws to california when it comes to this.....DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Dude, no matter what you are saying, it doesn't make anything better or right.
Yes, there are those lazy few but not all Americans are like that. In Colorado, white male killed many people in the theatre, is it right to label white male as potential crazy people?
Yes, you sound that crazy. Don't speak for all low income Americans and farmers in Alabama like you own a farm there. I have a Vietnemese friend who was adopted to Orange farm in Naples,FL and they have many great American people there working happily for their wages. Yea, I'm sure that there are Mexicans here and there but there are many happy Americans there. I'm sure there will be few disgruntled workers here and there but that's every where in this world because no human is truly happy with everything.
When I injured myself when I was in college to a point where I couldn't work, I was forced to move to cheap neighborhood and live off 12 cent ramen noodles for 6 months. Also I know thing or two about poverty because my family wasn't so well off as well when I was young to my father's business failures. See, the thing is that you don't even know me yet you are throwing things like this. Have you lived in Mexican slums to give me this speech? Wait... on second thought, do I even care? It's in Mexico, not here. You sound like an outstanding individual who care much for humanity and if that's the case, here is an silly idea. Why don't you devote your life helping others in Africa? It looks pretty bad over there and probably will take more then our life time to fix it.
I came here because my dad was offered a job here and it was his choice. It took years for us to be re-united. I was 9 when I came here like I stated above so don't be ignorant and give me that kind of comment. I did not state in any way that Koreans had "preferential treatment" to immigration so please read again and try to argue with me.

Ok, I took a breather and more calm so I will post again.
Bionicarm, I'm sorry if I was being a bit hostile on my last post.
I was upset because
1.) you were questioning my dad's decision to come to states which frankly is none of your business.
2.) you acting like you knew me where we have never once interacted in this forum.
3.) you didn't even read what I wrote and wrote a reply that was straight out ignorant.

Because I was nine and I moved because my parents moved me and US is all I know an I love it here just like I posted in my original post.
Are you going to find me a job and place to live in Korea? Unless you are willing to do so, please refrain from these types of comments.
Why should Korean's have preferential treatment to immigrate here over Mexicans?
When did I ever say this?

Tell me this, I'm asking because I don't know about you at all.
If you feel so strongly about this, what have you done for it instead of typing because any one can do type type type. You know on paper, communism sounds fantastic as well btw. Just saying.
I have actually sacrificed my time and my money on this and I don't even support this. Like I said before, I went to courts and immigration offices on countless times all by volunteering.
Just because I don't agree with your opinion, you shouldn't disrespect me, my culture or my family by being ignorant and throwing out words.

They do? You the resident expert on state laws? You're the State's Right's person. If that's what the residents in that state agreed on, then that's their business. If the voters don't like the laws, change them or vote someone in that will. DUUHHHHHHHHHHH.

You're chastising Mexican immigrants for wanting to come here to better their lives, when in fact, your family did the exact same thing. What's the difference between the two? If I go by your logic, why should we allow Korean's, Vietnamese, Phillipino's, Cuban's, Indian's, Pakastani's, or any other nation's admittance to this country over Mexicans, Hondurans, or anyone else from Central America? People get upset because so many Mexicans come here (legally or illegally) when the simple reason why is CONVENIENCE. You don't think if Korea, The Phillipines, India, or China had a border connected directly to the US, that we wouldn't have a massive influx of those individuals 'sneaking' across the border? You make all these assumptions but don't look at the "bigger picture". There are a multitude of countries inn this world with poor and destitute that would do anything to move to the US to improve their lives. Unfortunately for them, they don't have the immediate access to our borders like those from Mexico or Central America.

I've supported Mexican families that I work with down there more than you know. I was there all this week. One close friend of mine had to take his son to Monterrey for an operation on Wednesday. Needs a heart valve replacement. The guy can't afford the operation, but there is an organization in Mexico that provides this type of care at no cost to the patient (what a concept). Several of his family members couldn't afford to go to be with them because they didn't have the $60 for the bus fare. I handed him $300 and told him to get his family to Monterrey to be with them. Didn't hesitate in the least. It's called compassion.

Yet, I still don't get any apologies from you. You keep talking bigger picture but you can't yet apologize to a fellow member of a forum for your offensive words.
I'm not chastising Mexicans but illegal immigrants in whole. I think it's great that you helped out these Mexican family and I would have called it compassion as well without you putting it in that way. I have told you that I don't know you and I was just asking a question.
I will entertain you. There are millions of "legal" Mexicans here too and what makes them come here legally if they too can just cross the border? Because they believe and follow the law.
My father got himself certified to be eligible for the position he wanted and he was recruited from American company. Difference in between him and the illegal immigrant is that he did something to make himself appeal and came here legally just like many legal immigrants here.
Just because it's convenient, does it make things right? No, it does not.
It's convenient for me to just take things with out paying for them but does that make it right?
I know that there are many people that wants to move here but there are procedures that you have to follow and what makes these Mexicans any different? Just because they can cross the border, we should exempt them from our immigration law? That's called prejudice and you are being unfair to all of the other immigrants who spend their time and money to come here the right way.

Just LA county spent 600 million on welfare payments in 2010 alone. That doesn't include the cost of bilingual education, stolen health care, energy assistance, housing subsidies etc. and again, just a single county.

Your apparently lack of understanding why they come here is laughable. Gotta love the ridiculous assumptions and conspiracy theories that "Liberals" are endoctrinating Mexican illegals to become voters for their agenda. You live in a completely different twisted world than the rest of us. MEXICO'S BORDER IS ADJACENT TO THE US. Why else do you think there's more of them coming here than any other nation? Guess you didn't see the tens of thousands of Mexican's protesting the latest scam election to get the corrupt PRI back into control.

So Bionic questions an honest immigrant who came here the right way and dares compare him to the low life scum who illegally come here.
I for one would like to offer Sip an apology for Bionic's asinine comments.

Hey Sip, these liberal tools can't admit they and their illegal voter base are scumbag criminals, so I hope you don't let anything he says bother you. I think you and my great-grandfather would have got along famously.

I am begining to think he's a charter member of LaRaza. Who in their right mind compares a legal immigrant to an illegal alien? I am still steaming.
I thought for most of this and other threads he was just a typical liberal agitator, but now I think he is seriously off balance and it isn't an act for effect. I know liberals here in Az who are well-meaning, and wrong, on this subject, but they don't have this whole "Mexico/Mexicans first" mentality. He is espousing, down the line, the ideas and policy of La (klan with a tan) Raza and the retarded philosophy of Atzatlan. That millions of Aztecs were slaughtered by evil gringos and their cities and monuments destroyed all over the Western U.S. and so it is payback for Mexicans to flood here and reclaim their mystical, magical Atzatlan.
p.s. Even Mexican government records show the Mexican population of California, Arizona and New Mexico was about 5000. The rest were Spaniards and Indians. So this whole Atzatlan thing is the most retarded, made-up bunch of bunk to ever be swallowed by so many gullible retards looking for a reason to hate America and white people-and why the state of Arizona put a stop to "Raza Studies".
