Yeah, all anyone outside Arizona heard was that us racist Arizonans were picking on poor innocent "Mexican-Americans" who wanted to study "their history". The worst thing was they had after school and weekend "training camps" where they would dress the students up in tan fatigues, combat boots and black berets to "train for the coming war for Atzatlan".

And you're assuming that entire 600 million was spent on illegal immigrants? You can't be that naive. Show me the California statute that specifically states that someone illegally in the US can apply for full welfare benefits.

I used to have all the respect in the world for the motivation of these people to sneak in here but since I have seen open demonstrations in the streets of them Demanding their rights and have learned how many are now scamming the system respect is out the door. I'm not chastising Mexicans but illegal immigrants in whole. I think it's great that you helped out these Mexican family and I would have called it compassion as well without you putting it in that way. I have told you that I don't know you and I was just asking a question.
I will entertain you. There are millions of "legal" Mexicans here too and what makes them come here legally if they too can just cross the border? Because they believe and follow the law.
My father got himself certified to be eligible for the position he wanted and he was recruited from American company. Difference in between him and the illegal immigrant is that he did something to make himself appeal and came here legally just like many legal immigrants here.
Just because it's convenient, does it make things right? No, it does not.
It's convenient for me to just take things with out paying for them but does that make it right?
I know that there are many people that wants to move here but there are procedures that you have to follow and what makes these Mexicans any different? Just because they can cross the border, we should exempt them from our immigration law? That's called prejudice and you are being unfair to all of the other immigrants who spend their time and money to come here the right way.
What's there to apologize for? There's 10 individuals I worked with from Mexico who were recently sponsored by US companies to come work here in the US for up to 3 years. There's thousands more like them waiting for their paperwork to get processed.
You just don't get it. It has nothing to do whther it's legally right or not. The fact of the matter is the people who do come here illegally do it because it's their last resort of survival. They can either risk coming here and getting arrested, or stay where they are and die a slow death of starvation. Drastic times begat drastic measures. It's called survival. Why the country they are legal citizens won't do anything for them is irrelevent. They could care less. They've argued and fought that fight for decades, and nothing has been accomplished doing it. They see crossing a simple border as an opportunity to salvation. If you were in their shoes, I could all but guarantee you'd do the same. The only reason you had the opportunity to come here is because your father got an opportunity to get a work visa just like these Mexican's I know.

Your stigmatize and stereotype every Mexican national that currently lives in this country. There's just as many LEGAL Mexican immigrants in this country as there are Korean, Chines, or any other nationality that went through the proper legal channels to do so.

Talk about not getting it. You can't grasp the difference between legal and illegal. We generously allow people to LEGALLY migrate here. Every one who illegally comes here steals a job from a citizen or immigrant, or is stealing public services we are having a hard time providing our own people. We can't afford top be South America and Mexico's welfare office.

You're offended because you're no different than any of the Mexicans who followed the process and came here the same way your father did. If this company he worked for didn't afford him that opportunity, where would you be today? Would you still be living in Korea, or would your father find some other means to find a way to move to the US?

Did you bother to read the article? The funds were paid to LEGAL immigrant children. I read this same article straight off of Faux News. The $600 million is an ESTIMATE, and of course they ASSUME that the parents are just using the money for themselves. AGAIN, if California doesn't like LEGAL citizens obtaining Welfare payments, change the laws so they can't.

Funds were paid to illegal immigrants. Children are not allowed to receive such funds. They did pay 537 million the year before. I am betting the 600 million estimate is pretty close.
