I believe I posted way back when that the yanks do indeed buy the best players they can. I even laid how how they can afford the luxurty tax the league charges them.

well jerry jones has been doing the same thing with the cowboys but hasnt worked out for him in a long while.
you have to admt the yankees dont draft they buy free agents.watch what they offer cliff lee next year he is a free agent after this season.plus they will want him even more when he whoops on them monday.like i said they dont draft young talant they buy top notch veteran free agents. remember who is that at 3rd oh yea rodregasss.250 million .for 10 years .they buy proven talant period.

Its not a hater mentality. Back in the 80's DeBartilo did the same thing for the 9ers, my team. I loved them then and I still do now. But now, you cant buy a NFL team like you used to. That is what makes the NFL better than baseball. IN the NFL at the start of the season, ther are about 10 teams that have no legitimate shot at the playoffs. In baseball, there are about 10 teams that have a shot at the playoffs and thats it.
Face it, you root for a team that the majority of the country roots against. I see it all the time with my buckeyes. Take it as a compliment.

Its not a hater mentality. Back in the 80's DeBartilo did the same thing for the 9ers, my team. I loved them then and I still do now. But now, you cant buy a NFL team like you used to. I think Oregon will have a tough time getting through the very deep Pac. Starting to think Auburn is for real though, but their D was pretty shaky yesterday....Unfortunately, if all the big boys lose one I think TCU and Boise may squeak in.
