Everyone post a picture of ther dogs ! You Know how a dog looks like his owner. Lets see if this applies to our tanks or styles too. If you can post a tank picture as well that be cool. I got this idea after viewing mboswell1892's thread.
Mine: 174 lbs. Black Lab who will be 17 years old in March
2nd: 22 lbs. WESTIE will be 22 in Febuary.
last: My tank

Are those typos in your post!?!?!? 174 pound lab???? 17 and 22 year old dogs???!?!? I have to know - what do you feed them to keep them alive that long - that is incredible!
Here are three of my rescue dogs - don't have any tank shots with me here at the office.

No its not a typo. I recently had another dog pass away at 23. I used to own an animal rescue. At one point I had two pure bred timber wolves, a black Tundra wolf, 8 dogs, 6 cats, and a 5' camon crocodile in my personal collection of kids. I've kept everyone until they have passed of old age. I've had the wetie no since I was 17. Every vet says I should write guinness book of world records and request a catagory for the world's largest lab. They only have a catagory for largest dog and by that standard he is no where close. The picture doesn't do his size justice. T bed he is on is actually two of the largest size beds pushed together. He is 32" around the neck for his collar. Everyone who sees him in person has to stop and talk about his size. Both dogs were just given a clean bill of health recently from the vet too. They eat chicken every morning. I will cook a 10 lb. ( leg quarters) bag at a time ( sometimes two ) while the meat is cooling and still soft I sit in front of the TV and pull all the meat off. I then put it into containers in the fridge. Every night they are given beef ribs. I buy racks of ribs cook them slightly and cut them into individual. I let them eat what they want. I keep these refrigerated too of course. Vet says to put him on a diet; I say let him go out enjoying himself. Why take away now at this age what he has grown up on. Everyone of my dogs lived real old and none ever had any sicknesses. I fed them all this way because I started with the wolves. My belief ( not fact ) is that all my dogs have gotten so big because of eating meat since birth. They would laugh at you if you tried to feed them dog food.
Great pics. so far, keep them coming.

I KNEW IT! That's why I specifically asked what you were feeding them when I saw their life span! I feed my dogs BARF, which I'm sure you've heard of or read about. It's a lot of work but SO worth it. The dogs I take in are the ones that no one else wants and the ones who are in pathetic health. After 6 months of eating raw meat they are gorgeous, shiny, healthy, and happy. Teeth are great, very little shedding, nice stools, etc. Most vets still frown on it UNTIL they see the results. I buy 160 pounds of chicken (from a wholesaler) once a month and spend an entire Saturday preparing it and pre-packing it into daily servings, then down to the freezer it goes. Defrost one bag a day and I'm good for a month.
And I agree with you - why put him on a diet now! Obviously he's healthy - why can't he be happy, too! Way to go - thanks for being a rescue person. I can't even list all the critters that get brought to me to be "saved" but the majority of my time and energy goes into saving dogs.
