you just gotta keep the sps and clams up high. But if you got the money to spend the shimmer is always nice imo : D
ehh that shimer effect is overratted.... I prefer the looks of T5s of halides personally...
U can keep em on the bottom... At least my lfs does and everything looks freakin great in there!!!

Are those test kits good because i need a calcium test, mg and a better nitrate test...lol
That LFS just switched from salifert kits to Elos so I'd imagine so.. LOL... and between trying to resell me on Tunze&salifert and the slightly cheaper Elos kits, they told me that the Elos was just as good if not better the Tunze for less money.
I gotta figure out he KH test those... it says each drop is .5 dKH and in another section it says 1dKH=1drop.. WTH?? LOL...
EDIT: ok yeah 1drop=0.5dKH... I was getting ready to freak out and not post up to receive my darwin award when it took 24drops to turn to yellow.. phew... relief hahaha. 12dKH is where I want it...
also one thing...make sure you go off the volume in the syringe as the 5mL mark on the vial isn't as accurate.
12.. if it was 24... I was gonna be really sad lol.. I dumped a bunch of calcium in there too to accelerate coralline growth.. No CUC, corals, or fish yet so there is nothing to really kill with an overdose lol..
Do not try this at home.
I'm serious about intense coralline within 2 weeks and the rocks are already starting to color up and "come to life" so I think everything is on schedule..

It's been 45minutes and the cloudiness hasn't disappeared yet lol... I guess I really upped the calcium probably dangerously too fast, but no sensitive inhabitants to kill off.
