Biocube 29, the refugium has been great if your thinking about it. The benefit of 4.5 more gallons of water, the DSB, home for macro, leave the light on overnoght for CO2 exchange ( pH stability).
You will have to modify the BC, dremel will help!!

You don't mod the CPR fuge. You have to cut out the back of your BC hood. This requires precise measuring (if you are being professional about it), and careful cutting, dremel is best for this IMO. Not very hard just don't rush it. There is a bulkhead from right and left sides, the braces from the fuge and wiring. All this will need access points cut out to allow the hood to fit securely and properly. I'm checking for pics right now to show you....

absolutely, no hood means no headache for you
i just scraped the paint off the back of my aquapod, and it put a small flourescent light behind the tank, works great! I cant wait for the "start of the tank algea" goes away!
