so heres a question i still need to know. If you dont have floss or a sponge in the back, where does all the crap go that most people collect when they do have floss in the back?
there's where an AIO fails... it's easy to trap too much detritus... I like coco worms, feather dusters, etc... I couldn't dare to run filterfloss...it would be like an african warlord stealing the grain from the people, just not right..

i change it everyother day

man oh man, they should have done a better job at laying out the false wall chambers on a biocube... I can definitely think of several ways to keep detritus from collecting...

then should i take it off? and just leave the mangrove and chaeto?
Its kind of a losing situation... you'll get detritus build up in those chambers unless you can get a closed loop style setup that blasts the water around in the chambers so the detritus doesn't settle... and if you keep the filter floss it'll pull excess food out which is bad for filter feeders such as feather dusters and cocoworm and most corals and sponges lol...

its all about water circulation so detritus doesn't accumulate and organisms to break down the food and organics and then algae (i.e. macroalgae fuge or turf scrubber) and other means to export inorganics (rowaphos, carbon, etc.).

hmmm, mine is great and I never had any issues with it. Its alot better than getting the one built for the biocube.

Biocube 29, the refugium has been great if your thinking about it. The benefit of 4.5 more gallons of water, the DSB, home for macro, leave the light on overnoght for CO2 exchange ( pH stability).
You will have to modify the BC, dremel will help!!
