my dad got me a 75 gallon for christmas early. in my 55 i am battling hair algae, not a lot just a little. so im going to buy all new live sand for my 75. Im boiling all of the lr which is mostly base rock which has not come to life. I wil then place it in my new 75 with te new sand and use a little less than halfof the water from the 55 cuz it has phosphates in it. so i have started to set it up wit te help of seth. we have boiled some of the base rock i am using as well as buying 35 more pounds of new base rock. here are some pictures fo te process. comments are welcome

arrrgggg well i just changed half of the water out of the 55 to try to lower the phosphates before i moved evreything into the new 75. took 3 hours. the water temp was like 60 or something. i had a space heater and a 150 watt heater along with a hair dryer on it for like an hour. i also managed to blow the circuits lol
