I have to say something about. His talent level is no where near the level required to place him in the top 20 players. His size and weight are his advantage. That is it. Now look ta his draw backs.....when was the last time he played 4/5ths of an entire season? How often is he injured? Give me Duncan or Garnett everyday. Quietly the best big men in the game now. Comparing Wade to Kobe is dumb. Shaq and wade combined for 50 somethinmg points the other night? Kobe had over 60 himself and the win.
"If shaq would have played we would have won"....that is the problem now, isn't it. How often does he play? Detroit fans need to calm the hell down too.......80 some odd games in a season, not half way through and you guys are polishing the trophy already. Look at Indianapolis Colts this year...oh they are going undefeated.....they are winning it all. Their last two games they haven't looked to good and the loose to a team not in the playoffs......suddennly no talk of them being powerhouses and winning it all. The Suns last year were the "unstoppable team" and winning it all....what happenned there? Keep polishing that trophy though....I will give a big laugh when you have to hand it over to some other team like the Spurs all nice and shiny. Records mean squat in the scheme of things...

The last three games of the season the COlts rested many of their players. You cannot expect an nfl team that does not play or decided to rest starters to continue to win and play at the same level.
The Suns had the best recrod in the nba last year becuse Duncan was injured for several games towards the end of the season. When he was available in the playoffs you saw the best team take it all.
As for the Duane Wade vs Kobe Bryant debate, here is the player efficinecy foumula used by the nba...
NBA.com evaluates all players based on the efficiency formula: ((Points + Rebounds + Assists + Steals + Blocks) - ((Field Goals Att. - Field Goals Made) + (Free Throws Att. - Free Throws Made) + Turnovers)).
As of right now Kobe Bryant is a +24.62 and Wade +26.48. based on this foumula for the 2006 season, Wade is a higher rated player as of today based on efficiency.

John Madden is a clown. His act was unique when he first arrived but now I find his analysis to be weak at best. His emphasis is on parts of the game that are unimportant...like sweat on pants, etc.
Perhaps his opinion is based on the total career of the player and not just this year.

Current power rankings top 5
2005-06 Power Rankings: Week 10
RANK (LAST WK) TEAM REC. COMMENT
1 (1) Pistons 24-4 Can't quite call it a devastating defeat in Cleveland. It means Pistons are only on a 70-12 pace now, six games ahead of their nearest East chaser.
2 (3) Spurs 24-7 Now that Manu is back, after Spurs went 7-3 without him, we can proceed to the next big issue. Our official position: Duncan shouldn't have shaved his head.
3 (2) Mavericks 22-8 Blowing a lead at home to Golden State was uncharacteristically bad. Getting Stack back to deepen a bench that was already deep softens the blow.
4 (13) Nets 17-12 Happy New Year? The league's hottest team -- no one has an active win streak close to this eight-gamer -- would be even happier if it didn't have to wait until Friday for its next game. A scheduling quirk means a full week off to interrupt Nets' flow.
5 (6) Cavaliers 18-10 A month that couldn't have started in much worse fashion (1-5) was capped with the ultimate flourish: LeBron's 21st birthday and a victory over Detroit. Cavs' only loss since Dec. 13 was inflicted by slightly hotter Nets.

It may be arguable that detroit has the best starting five in the NBA (but why would you argue with that?).
They may have 4 all stars this year.
But it is undeniable and unarguable that Chauncey and Rip are the best starting back court in the NBA.

To date, how many all star games has either player played in?
