I turn the flash off and use the underwater macro setting. Using a Olympus Stylus 600.

Heres another blurry sail shot. I wasn't fast enough setting up. Also a shot of where he goes to get fed, trained him to do that so I didn't have to get my hands wet.

I wish my camera had an underwater macro setting. I use a sony cybershot 3.2 megapix and just use the normal setting.. I should check if it has an underwater setting...

I have heard to try to feed them (and mandarins) live blood worms like people feed cichlids. I am going to try a few if I can get some from this store near me that does a lot of business in cichlids.

They are common around here, sold in big frozen chunks that you chip off and thaw. I didn't know what they were until I got a clown goby and the LFS suggested getting some since his mouth is so small.
Looks like a big orange misshapen ice cube in a plastic baggy.

I've never seen that around here...might have to look into it. Cyclop-eeze and Piscine mysis is what mine will eat.

Clown gobies look awesome, You have any pictures yet? I would love to get one for my tank but I am pretty much maxed out on fish right now and I think my royal gramma or my blue damsel would torment him... Sorry, I know that was off topic...

Thanks, nice picture. They aren't as cool as scooters but they are nice and bright and all the ones at the fish store seem to have wonderful personalities. Do they mostly just hang out perched near your corals?

They do pirch alot and use the corals as a hide away when frightened. Another odd thing is how they like to pirch on the front glass. They do have a great personality for such a small fish though.

Hey there Mr_Bill... I got a question for you since I know you have some of the same fish I have (scooter, royal gramma...) I've been wanting to get one more fish for my tank.. a bicolor blenny BUT I never can seem to find one at the fish store so I've been considering different fish possibilities and I like the looks of clown goby's. How does he get along with your other tank mates? And what other fish do you have if you don't mind me asking... Thanks..

No problem, I have two GSM clowns, a falcos hawk, and that clown goby. It's a good balance if you figure how each fish spends its day. The clowns hang out with the anemone and are busy moving things around in their corner, while the royal gramma zips in and around the rock often hovering mid tank, the scooter and hawk act alot alike with their jumping and scooting around from spot to spot, and the clown goby stays with his hammer coral or sits on the glass.
I highly recommend the clown goby and falco's hawk for any tank similar to mine that does NOT have small ornimental shrimps(small small, like 1") which could be a problem with the hawk. The goby has a great personallity and is not shy at all, even bouncing around the really big female GSM clown during feeding. The falco's hawk is my newest addition and he is great how he looks right at you tilting his head and caught on to my feeding style the second day by taking a seat right on the thermometer in the picture I posted up earlier every time I come by the tank.
Another great thing about these fish...
Falco's hawk , 3" tops and often misslabled as a spotted hawk and sold for about $15.00
Clown goby , 1-1.5" tops and about $15.00
