LOL...My taxes on a 5 bedroom home on 5 acres were $47 last year

another advantage of living in the country

If you ever take the wheels of those single wides ya'll are living in they'll tax them as real property and jack your taxes up 5000%

I don't like property taxes, you never truely own your property if they tax it. If they had trees and mountains there it would be a great place

OK, Double wide

Back in the 80's I did a road trip to OK with my cousin to see his granny. When he had to pass someone driving a horse and buggy I told him I wasn't driving any further east
It was actually nice where we were, Edna I think it was. Downtown was falling apart but the land was pretty

I thought Oklahoma was nothing but teepees and trailer houses

My mom was from Arkansas, we used to really hack on her about stills and outhouses.
The horse and buggy story is fact. There is a Amish town in that area of the state, actually passed a few of them.

Must have been before all the tornados

As I remember it was the western part of the state with the flat nothingness. Kind of like east of here except there is grass.
It's like the people here all think that NY is nothing but cement and tall buildings.....there is more country in NY than out here in the country HAHAHAHAHA
When my husband was working out in NY (where I am from), he couldn't believe it...the trees, mountains, lakes was incredible to him....Isn't it funny how a WHOLE state gets a stereotype from ONE area of it....

I would like to visit y'all.
I'm not pitying myself today. The little one probably has Mono and today was a big out of town Jazz festival he was suppose to play in. His big brother, who he adores, is playing in it as well. That makes it 10x more disappointing for him.
I feel really bad for him.... even a new xbox came didn't bring too much of a reaction.
