Sick Clown...??Brooks??

I understand its not very much but you can see it in my red chalice the most. I have struggled with coral color for ever. The first pic was taken a few days ago. The second was just now.

EDIT;
I just checked and the first pic was taken on 8-23. My hermits moved the coral in the mid left of the pics for me.

hard to tell.....maybe a little difference, but I know how hard it is for me to get the colors to show up in pics

Look again. In the upper pic you can see coral skeleton in my red and green chalice. In the second pic it is much less evident and my green has more fluorescence to it. Hold the page so you can see both corals (pics) at the same time. That happened in about a half an hours time.

I see the green on the bottom one....
Then you see a difference:)

Here is my idea to solve the air issue. At least I hope so.LOL I just built this idea in a flash.

Its PVC, an air stone to aerate as well as pump the water. Water enters the PVC from the bottom of the first chamber and it exits through the sponge.

Just a note;

My little clown is still alive. Swimming as strong as he can with what little fin he has left. The white started to show back up, but seems to be stooped and maybe going away. The white slime on his tail is gone now, along with his tail LOL. He's raising his dorsal fin now though a lot more. I hope things are getting better. He eats like a champ.

I know this has nothing to do with my fish's health but, an observation none the least. I really wish I could capture what happens to my coral colors when I dose the Melifix. They just pop out. It goes back to normal by the time I come home from work, so I can't say how long it lasts. Everything in the tank seems to be a lot less bothered when I dose. They shrink just a bit now and come right back. My GSP used to completely go away. Tonight they didn't even flinch. The same for my LTA.

Well, my little buddy isn't getting any better. I have now stopped the Melifix. Nothing in my tank was lost or upset due to the Melifix.....including what ever is wrong with my clown. I'm gonna move him to QT. I'm gonna work on that here in the next few hours. i hope to have him moved either tonight or early tomorrow morning. He was very easy to catch with the room dark and a black net.

Well the little guy is in QT. This is the best pic I could get. I'm not the best when it comes to the whole pic thing.

You can kinda see the haze all over him. Its not heavy but it is all over, and his fin is gone. The fin looks like its coming back....

Well it's hard to see in that net......are you sure it's not Brooklynella? Have you looked at all the pics of it?

That's what I thought it was in the beginning. That's why I titled the thread like I did. I am not any good at all when it comes to diagnosing fish illness.

The pics that were posted in this thread look a lot like what he has. He also spends a good bit of time at the top of the water column. Though that has been much less now that he has got some treatment. He has been eating like a pig too in the DT.

Based on the thread that Beth posted, my clown looks a lot like the stressed pics as well as the Brooks pics. He is doing well in the QT, his fins are growing back and he is eating very well. I am on the last 2 doses of the maraycin and his "film" isn't gone.

Will it go away after the treatment is finished? Or if its stress, I need to take the stress away. How do I know the difference?

Did you read this in Beth's disease posts???

Formalin baths are typically used for the treatment of brooklynella and black ich.

In a separate dedicated container, fill with water from your display. Use a 37% formaldehyde solution (brand name Formalin sold in the hobby) at 20 drops for each gal of water.

Be sure to aerate the bath water using a small pump that is dedicated for use in treating fish diseases.

Place infected fish in the bathe for 45 minutes, every other day, 3-5 treatments.
