I AM......VERY HAPPY...cause you will be able to get it to eat vitamins too.....altho I am wanting to know what (if anything) is wrong with it

You and me both. I'm going to have to pick up some vitamins. I don't have any. The LFS doesn't carry them. The next LFS doesn't stock selcon anymore. They do have vitamin C right now. but I have Hikari Msis with Vit-C. IDK??

You said it had a white film spot and now it's gone and it's eating and acting normal and the spot is completely gone?

My gut says a slight case of lymphocytis.

I checked this out. Based on what pics I saw, and what I read. He didn't have Lymphocytis.

What was on him was like Brooks. It just didn't cover his whole body. He was also not keeping his dorsal fin up. Its kinda 50/50 now. Its like it wants to go up but then he brings it back down.

Well, the lights came on and its not good. At all.

There isn't any growth that I can see, just faded and torn fins. Sorry about the quality.

I think I missed on what was wrong with him. I am now thinking he has a bacterial infection. Hence the white patch that was on him, now the fins. Fin rot maybe?

Yea I saw your thread. I just don't think that's it. The tail area is kinda white. He also keeps his fins closed up. I have never seen them go at it.

Maybe I'm wrong??? I could give it a day or two?

NO NO NO....get maracyn 2...that's what Beth had told me to get for mine

it is good for dropsy, septicemia, popeye and fin and tail rot

I think pimafix and melafix are more FW treatments, an they mess with the tanks oxygen

Well............

Melafix comes in a marine "grade" if you will. My wife being the absolute best in the world, dropped everything and hit up the LFS so she could get me some of the melafix. She had 5 mins to get there before they closed tonight. So its a done deal, its in the tank already. I guess we shall see what happens next. ARGH!!

My LFS doesn't have anything else?? They told me on the phone that the FDA? took a lot of stuff from them?? IDK, kinda sounds like some BS to me. But I needed to at least start treatment of some sort.

I would make up some fresh sw to have....JIC.....I was told that melafix can mess with the oxygen, so I opted to not use it

I was also told IF I DID.....to have fresh sw on hand

Good luck....let us know how you make out

OH..did you treat the DT? or the QT?

I have 4 3 gallons of FSW on hand right now. That will do a 10% change for me. The only reason I can see O2 being an issue is you have to shut down the skimmer for a week. Then when restarting it it says to be ready for some foam.LOL

I'm going all out rookie. I treated the DT. Its supposed to be able to be used as a coral dip also. If it weren't for my 20L I wouldn't have ever went so far out on a limb like this. That's for sure.

One funny thing though.....Of course the corals aren't going to be very happy once that stuff hit the water. However, they are opening back up almost all the way now. I have the best color I have ever had in my LPS. Like an instant blast of fluorescence. I really wonder if my tank was just chock full of bad bacteria??? What a mind trip.
