Sick Clown...??Brooks??

Could be because I'm viewing the video on my phone, but have you given any thought to lymphocytis? Brooklynella usually doesn't just get better like from a dip. Lympho doesn't either, but it does go down and then flare up again if the fish becomes stressed.

As to the FW dip argument, you absolutely can safely FW dip a fish for 7 or even more minutes. I dipped a Sailfin tang for 12mins because the ich was so bad when I was given the fish. I dipped even before it went in the QT. It got dipped the next day for another 10 minutes and I repeated this for days because the ich was so bad, but I did not want to resort to copper and hypo didn't seem to be donig enough quickly enough, it was in the gills.
needless to say, the sailfin now lives ich free and happily swims around my 155G as the "queen of the tank"

Is this fish still having problems? How long have you had the fish? Can you post a picture?

Still trying to catch up here. A lot has been said since I signed off last night. Thank you everyone.

Beth,

I'm glad you stopped by:) I'll have to be more specific when the lights come on. However, this morning he is down at the bottom of the tank in a high current corner, doing the clown wiggle bobbing up and down. He seems to be feeling better. This is actually the first time I have seen him down low in the tank with the lights off??

I have had him for about ?? I'll check and get back to you on this for sure.

I will do my best for you on a picture. Maybe I can catch him again and get some good shots. I charged up the camera battery last night thinking it would take me a while to get a good pic.

I have had him about 6-7 months now. He has been happy and eating like no other. I saw the white slime (haze) a couple of days ago.

Edit;
I think I will have to catch him to get good shots of the suspected HLLE.

Alright I got sneaky. I nabbed him while the lights were off. I still have him in the net so if more pics are needed I might be able to do so. My camera isn't that great.

Are you putting it in a qt??? I can't see anything in those pics....even tho they are good...LOL...
I don't know??? As far as the white film on him he looks like that may be gone. I'll know when the lights kick on. I'll see if I can still see the haze on him.

On the HLLE these areas are my concern. Not much I can do about HLLE though, right? Just feed vitamins and greens.
These areas look like small pin holes. And the faint line down the body.

It is not brooklynella. Those pics show a lot of shinniness. Is that the fish, or just the picture?

It looks a lot like hypermelanization,

OK. What is that? I'm gonna have to look it up.

No that's how he looks. When the lights came on, I didn't see anything on him. I hope I didn't over look anything cause I let him go. He is eating VERY much. Hitting it like no other. A very hungry fish.

Hypermelanization is caused by stinging of corals....for example frogspawn.....you do nothing for it.....they should adjust

You said it had a white film spot and now it's gone and it's eating and acting normal and the spot is completely gone?

My gut says a slight case of lymphocytis.
