Hey for a shoal of inexspensive fish try yellow tailed chromis. Blue and yellow color, active and out and about all the time, draws out other fish, cheap around $9 to $12 each, and the 6 I have in my 210 are just beautiful! And yess you pay the shipping and I will send you some monti caps, digitata brown, green, & Lavender specimens specimens, and some acro's. I frag the DT every 2 to 3 months and since I always have a surplus it's not a problem.
Acropora cerealis, valida, & orchid. Acropora in blue and purple tips. We'll have to talk when you are ready!

aww, thank you so much! I appreciate it a lot Dennis! You and I are going to be great pals!!!
Well, today I sold most of my store. It sold for a pretty good price and I am glad that I am going to be getting out of it, honestly. I hate that it had to go, but I think that I am going to be much, much happier now that it is gone. I think I am going to always keep this as a hobby.
I'm kind of glad that I am going back to college now. I'm going to major in Biology education and teach Biology at a local highschool. I only have two more years anyways, so it's going to be fun. God knows there needs to be more interesting Biology teachers.
Anyways, Tomorrow's the big day! I can't wait. I'm going to take pictures this evening.

some friends of mine couldn't get off work this evening, so we decided to put it off until we can all get together and do it sometime this week.

yup, but nothing pictoral. I lost my camera in the move. I'm going to see if I can borrow my wife's for a few days until I can find it again.
Update #1: I rigged up a horse trough and mixed salt in it. 100 gallons. I got the Hammerhead pump on the horse trough and it is doing very well. - lots of flow!! I am going to put all of the rock in it so that I can catch the fish once I make the move.
Update #2: I figured out a new business that I have to put in the lease to make a little money while I am stuck in it for the next six months. It's going to be a LAN Party Center. I'm just handling the money - my friends want to run the business. So, it works out for both of us.
Update #3: I have called my friends, and they said that they will be able to get off work early tomorrow. It will take at least 4 people to move the 240 from my shop to my house.
Anyways... That's about the jist of it. ... and if any of you all pray - pray for me and my family. I would appreciate it very much.

How does one get that big of a sump into the stand? Do you build the stand around the sump or cut the existing stand in half?
thanks,

SB, looking good
. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the system up and running. Good luck with the biology teaching. Curious to see how you end up defining interesting; and just a heads up - most of what you find "interesteing" the majority of your students will define as "booooorrrring". Ah well, to be young and have the enthusiasm again - send a little my way will you?
See, now you are on page 2!

woo! Thank you ST, lol. I think I'm a pretty interesting person. I like to do the whole experiment thing as long as it pertains to the subject. I think I will be fun.
Scopus, aren't you a teacher? I think I remember reading that.
Anyways, I took out most of the live rock - I have a little over 350lbs in a 200 gallon horse trough. It seems like there is just too much live rock - but better more then less, right?
Oh well. I need to get my wife's camera, so that I can take a few pictures of the progress.

Wow, you are very trusting of your friends. I think it alot easier to make riskier...potentially foolish risks if you have nothing to loose. Also, what happens when they make enough to support themselves...You know your friends, and I do not know you, or them. Just me...I would never do this. Best of luck though. Hope it works out for you.

Well, Chris, ... I am weary of the whole deal too, however - if no one moves in at all - I am stuck paying rent by myself. While I am trying to find a sub-leasee for the lot I am going to let them do their thing. Then, when someone wants the lease - it's time for them to get out. No big deal.
If they didn't put their stuff in there, I would be stuck paying the entire rent until it is sub-leased. IF they make enough money to support themselves, that's fine. I just want my rent paid each month until the either the sublease is signed or my lease is up.

I understand...tough decision. I would just try to involve myself somehow so as not to become expendable, and to keep things in check. They can hardly compain if you are the backing to the entire deal. At a minimum I would meet with a lawyer to get terms in writing...Crimzy may be able to help you
...or at least give you some direction. I mean what if it becomes really profitable...you helped start it, so you are entitled to something. You may be helping them out WAY more than they are helping you at the moment.

Chris, I understand that! Infact, I'm going to do their accounting and manage customers coming in and out. I'm also going to work the snack bar and the registure. I'm not expendable - I am also going to be able to keep the profit off of selling snacks.
This is definately not my first business - and I am going to draw up a contract with them before we get started. But, thanks for the word of warning, Chris!

Gotcha...I did not mean to offend or imply that you were "green" when it comes to financial dealings. Many apologies if I did. I misunderstood what you meant by "handling" the financials. It just read to me like...I will give these guys a chunk of cash and give them a space so they can help with rent. Like I said I don't know you, or them. I have many a friend that would do just that...very naive and always get taken advantage of. Just thinking out loud. I know you are going threw a difficult time, just making sure you did not have the blinders on friend, and it appears you do not.

Yep - obviously a tired, old one, disillusioned by the advent of the Christmas holidays.
Still waiting for those pictures.

Well, it's another day. I am frantically trying to find either my camera, or get in contact with my in-laws!
I was thinking that if I had a lot of live rock left over, I could always put some in the drain section of my sump and some in the return pump section. There's a lot of possibilities with such a large sump :D
I was thinking about keeping my clown fairy wrasse. I know he gets up to 18 inches over time - but I don't feed enough to make him grow that big for a while.
