Hah, I know. Getting a 240 is almost a dream come true for me. I could never afford to just buy it for myself, so I guess this all works out.

Thank you, thank you.
I'm posting some of the pics on another forum and it's been up a day and a half already. I guess what I am posting isn't that impressive. Oh well - I guess I will continue!

Well, today is a new day. I am going to start taking the lights off the top. I have a new set of friends that are going to help me move the tank today. I don't know what time, but they are all willing to help.
I also have to clean the shop up for the next business that is supposed to come in on the first of the month. I had a dream last night that my real-estate broker called me and told me that I had to be moved out today. lol. Ugh, bad dreams.

Blue Knight, I never answered your question: How does one get that big of a sump underneath the tank? Well, not easy, tell you that much. The way I built the stand, I have approximately 21 inches in width that I have clearence for. The sump is 19 inches wide. Instead of placing the stand first, I placed the sump first and I am going to lay the stand over the top of the sump. The stand has no cross braces on the bottom.
It seems like no one wants to help out because of the holidays. So, doesn't look like I'm going to get my aquarium moved until after Christmas.
More pics in the up and coming post.

This is the lighting system that is now off the top of the tank. Man, it was a booger to get off without damaging it. As you can see, I wasn't going to risk the XM bulbs while I Was getting it down.
I caty-cornered the tank a bit so it would be easier to move out the door, IMO. I was going to move the tank all by myself last night because I had a truck available and the stand is at the exact high of the truck bed... But it's all so heavy that this was as far as I could push it without wearing myself out too much.
A pic of one dirty tank. Can't wait to get it to my house!

Eh, well. This weekend hopefully I will get it moved. I've changed the structure of the stand a little, I had to add two more cross braces on the back of the stand for extra support. Don't want it leaning!
I am probably going to keep the stand the way it is for now. I want to mainly concentrate on getting everything in it for now and worry about how well the stand looks later.
Also, you asked when am I going to fill it - well.. I was going to try to work on some of the plumbing and get that done this weekend as well. I have to clean/mop/sweep/throw away trash at the shop and get it ready for the first of the month for the new guy. So, I don't know how much time I will have to work on meh baby. lol
Anyways, Merry Christmas to all.

Bringing in the stand so that we can set it in place before we can bring in the tank itself.
Setting the stand in place. What sucks is that we had to turn the stand and tank around in the living room because we put it on the truck wrong.

When setting the stand in place, we came across a problem. One of the internal cross braces got in the way and we couldn't move the sump down in order to set the stand in place. So the cross brace had to come off.
We finally got the stand to sit in place. Bad thing is that it's 1/4" off. Not square on the wall. Oh well, I don't think anyone is going to notice.

240 gallon tank on the back of a large truck. I was terrified on the way to the house - it was only tied by an electrical cord!!! Another bad thing is that it was raining!! AHH my nerves!!!

Getting it up on the stand was very, very difficult.

Once the tank was set completely on the stand, it was not touching all four corners, ... something that weighs this much... it takes a lot of effort to move it in such a tight space.
