OK LOOK! I got some bad news. i asked my dad and he said no! your only 14! you dont know what creeps are out there! i heard on the news that someone got kidnapped today from this guy on the internet! CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!!!!!!! I WILL PROVE TO YOU I AM NOT A FAKE. If he keeps saying no i will just send you a pic. i know that i will come back on this site and ther will be hate replys and you suck and everything else and you are a fake! i'm sooo sorry you guys. if you can help me out, that would be great

I don't see a sponge growing out of the water... Sponges die if they touch air, and yours seems to grow in the air? No, it doesnt grow in the air. the part that is sticking out of the water is white. PLEASE DONT HATE ME!!!!!!! I TRIED MY BEST!!! I WILL SEND YOU A PIC THOUGH!! :(

I dont have a digital cam so i will have to take a pic with my regular cam. might come out really dark. i have SOME pics of my tank on page 2-3. there not too good. I AM STILL VERY SORRY!!! :(

Common Sense tells us... If your sponge started out at 11in, and grew up to 3ft(and your tank is 2.5ft)... Then it would have to be growing while its out of the water.

You see, the sponge is atached to a rock. and it grew 6 inches above the water. but the base seems to be growing making the sponge get longer and growing out of the water. I will send you a pic as soon as i can!

I cant get my sponge to grow and ... sort of off topic.... my xenia shriveled for no reason at all. I figure this post gets alot of hits so someone could tell me why. Sorry to stray from the discussion..... as you were

Opazen, where in the tank do you have the sponge? there will not grow if you have them in a light spot. also some sponges grow at different speed. post me back. IM SOOOOOO SORY ABOUT EVRYTHING! but i dont want to go bake to that nightmare! <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />

I forgot, what are your water parimeters (nitrite,nitrate,pH,ammonia, alk, calcium). and what lights do you have. how long has the tank been set off?

Simple ....
Get todays paper from your town.
Place it next to your tank and this apparent freak of nature sponge you have.
Take a picture of the newspaper and sponge together in the same frame/shot.
Post that picture of this "sponge on steroids" so we all can see, and make sure the newspaper front page is clearly visible too.
You may just gain the respect of many on here you seem to so desire. At least in regards to this "abnormal, proliferous, branching red tree sponge"
