I picked up a couple of new additions at the LFS today. First is a 5" Christmas Wrasse.

Also picked up a Blue Eyed Tang which is about 6". It is tough getting a good picture since it is so dark.

I was a little surprised when this one didn't run for the rocks when I put him in the tank. He was swimming around like he had been in the tank forever. Most of my other wrasses have dissapeared for a day or two before I would see them out and about. I had another that was in the tank before he jumped. Luckly I found him and he is now in the QT tank which has a lid. Hopefully this one will like the tank and stay inside of it.......

I have a lunar, he was the same way, he went in and and he was home, never hid or anything, lately he has tried to establish himself to the puffer twice his size. The puffer just looked at him and laughed. I'm sure.

Added one additional tang this past week. A Black Spot tang which I bought online. I didn't realize how close it resembles the Dussimer I had in the tank.

The new Black Spot and the Dussimer did not get along together.
They swam together in a posturing mode, not chasing each other, just shadowing...

I shut the lights off a little early hoping that they would find different spots in the tank to hang out. What I found in the morning was not a pretty site. The Black Spot got the worst of it during the night. Two of us tried to net him and get him in another tank, but didn't have any luck. So in he stayed and the worst seems to be over. They both now go their own separate ways and the Black Spot seems to be healing. He is eating good and getting along with all of the other tank mates.

Thank you! The fighting has stopped and the Black Spot was the looser. He is eating and there doesn't seem to be any sign of infection so I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will heal up in a few days. I'm not sure if the Dussimer caused the wounds or if he chased the Black Spot into the rocks and they were the cause. In either case, I was afraid the next morning when I found him that he might not make it if I kept him in the tank. After a couple of attempts to net him, decided it was better to leave him in the tank and not stress him anymore.

Verdict is still out on the SPS corals. Some haven't made it. (40% ???) The others aren't growing like weeds, but holding their own. The non SPS corals are all doing well with no losses. Have lost 1 of the 11 clams. (I think the goby was piling too much sand on him.) I think it is still a little early to decide whether or not I am capable of growing SPS. I still have hope!

I've wanted this one of these tangs for years and haven't been able to find one. This guy arrive in a box weighing in at 45lbs. Can hardly wait to get him in a tank.

I see you keep adding fish. have you had many die off. I would start to worry about over population. I love this tank though good luck.
