I like the dual island look myself, the one in the middle (its similar to my own aquascape design) but like snake said its all up to what you like. there isnt much point aqua scaping based on what other people think its your tank you have to look at it the most.

Yeah I like the two island look too. I liked the left one but the right needed some changes. I think I have it like I want it now.
FINALLY got an email saying my sand will be here by Thursday. That company lacks a lot in customer service.

Finally found the aquascape I like and slowly starting.
The hob refugium is creating bubbles from the return pipe. Big bubbles, not micro, is this a problem? I have searched and not found an answer.

Found the closest fish store that isn't a petsmart today, and its 60 miles away. My daughter went crazy looking at all the fish! Lol
Think I am ready to feed my rocks and start the cycle tomorrow. Eliminated most of the bubbles by moving the refugium outlet.
My fish wish list is a pair of clowns, a lawnmower blenny, yellow watchman, and a pistol shrimp.

must say Im confused now though. I ghost fed for a few days to start a cycle and have been testing.
Tonights results were ammonia .25(it was .50 two days ago), nitrite 1.0, and nitrate 10ppm.
Does a cycle start this fast? Even with a small ammonia spike? My tank has dry rock and dry sand but almost all of my equipment is used, if that can make any difference. I am not rushing but I did not expect to see changes this fast.

I'm still cycling and slowly beginning. My wife thinks I am crazy starring at rocks and testing water. Lol. She decided to change the room theme, which I like.
I bought a cheap T5 light fixture but LEDs are where I will end up. I didn't know what shimmer was but the moonlights are awesome.

I'm still just starting but I'm hooked on the hobby. Lots of ideas but I'm still learning more every day
