Ah, the old classic, "Why should I". I am working and NOT costing taxpayers a penny, though I have qualified for disability for quite some time. Nowhere have I asked for a penny of yours (or anybody's) taxes. When lacking a coherent argument, try to attack someone's character. Since what you said, renogaw, has nothing to do with me, I don't take it personally. But, since I am a productive taxpayer, I ask: Is it better to have working taxpayers given a chance to obtain affordable healthcare or give up and collect the Social Security Disabilityand Medicaid they have paid into and be a burden to all? That is the crux of the issue. As I mentioned before, I am not in favor of a socialist healthcare system, but there has got to be a way to open the door for those currently locked out. It is my FIRM belief in self-reliance that keeps me going to work each day. Right now the insurance industry is freezing many of us out of the system. I would love to be able to have access to healthcare that would keep me productive and paying taxes.
