Actually I have personally met several Tea Party members in my area. Some work in my office. The majority of them remind me of Archie Bunker from "All In The Family". Get the correlation?

Yeah, sure you have. Then again living in Texas I am sure you are surrounded by Archie bunker types. I don't think I've ever met a Texan who's family tree didn't look like a telephone pole. Get the correlation?

Looks like the Tea Party and Republicans are having a little infighting between themselves. So exactly where will these Tea Party winners align themselves if they do get elected? One minute you hear they'll align with the GOP, but then you listen to the Reps saying they are not following their basic tenets and principles. Will we end up with a true 'Third Party' that people have dreamed of having in Washington politics?

Thats the point I've been trying to get across, the Tea Party isn't some Republican group like the Pachyderm or Club for Growth who's purpose is to advance the party. .

you know I find your argument against the tea party quite hilarious. It twists into a fear of a theocracy using the texas booze laws as an example...
You know, lets talk about what the lib's want to ban...
salt, cokes, suv's, incandescent bulbs...
http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2010/09/20/city_may_curb_sales_of_sugary_beverages/
Without excess salt, suvs and cokes Texas would grind to a halt......

Well, like I've pointed out in other places. There is a a reason why liberal's hate salt. You see, salt in nessessary for conductivity in our bodies. And that conductivity is quite literally how we think. Salt is required for brain function...
If they can stop our brains from working, they'd be in power for perpetuity. Hence the obama's war on salt...

Well, you know all Liberals are tree huggers.

Let's see here:

Salt has been clinically proven to cause high blood pressure, which can lead to heart attacks, which is one of the leading causes of death in men and women over 50.

Coke's contain a high level of sugar, which is known to cause obesity. Kids drink Coke's like water, then sit on their duffs watching TV, playing video games, or sitting on their computers instead of getting out and exercising. This explains why we now have a major fat/obesity problem in this country. Our nickname isn't Fat Antonio for nothing.

SUV's are gas guzzlers, which burn more fossil fuels, and also have larger carbon emissions, which can lead to the depletion of the ozone layer. Of course this is irrelevent to you since you think we have an unlimited supply of oil, and the Global Warming Theory is just a myth.

Incandescent Bulbs are a highly inefficient bulb when compared to LED's and flourescent bulbs. They use almost twice as much electricity, if not more, which in turn causes your Electric Companies to produce more electricity, which again can affect the availability of resources in the future. Of course your logic is, "If I want a $500/month light bill because I want to use inefficient bulbs, that's my right."

If the Reps had their way, they'd be satified to have a bunch of stroke candidates, fat arses, gas wasting cars, and electricity-hog light bulbs - BECAUSE WE CAN!! GLORY, GLORY, HALLELUJAH!

lol, ever heard of Cirrhosis?
How many people die every year due to alcohol related accidents, violence, and health issues? I'm just pointing out the obvious glaring faults in your argument.

Salt is essential to live. It doesn't cause high blood pressure but excess salt can exacerbate the condition

Incandescent lamps use more electricity but contain no mercury and require no external ballasts and the associated pollution from their manufacture.

There is less sugar in Coke than their is in whiskey and beer

Properly utilized SUV's use less fuel than using multiple cars to haul the same load

Nah, Nah, Nah

Point being though that as American's we really seem to think it is our business to tell others how to live their lives as WE see fit. The far-lefties and far-righties though seem to take it even further when they push this to a political outcome and I am sick of people who go along because it is the party they favor and it can't possibly affect them.

The family that owns and runs the local gas/yummy food/deli station just love them some of my home-made brew, with the newly enforced, but long-standing and ignored laws, that little gravy train is over for them and when they asked me why no more beer, I simply told them they need to pay attention when they vote because just like that, you can have your right to drink my excellent beer taken away.

This whole home-brew deal though has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with a government agency that has outlived it's usefulness and is looking for anything to keep them busy, but you can bet that all us home-brewers are going to be keeping a close eye on who votes which way when the problem is addressed at the next session.

You confuse religious conservatives with right wing conservatives. Bush wasn't even close to right wing but he was religious.

No, my arguments make common sense, which obviously you have none. What does alcohol related accidents, violence, and health issues have do to with protecting yourself from the obvious? Stupid is, as stupid does.

Okay, we have to set a base-line here. Please tell me what you consider Palin keeping in mind that she is the darling of the Tea Party and also is on tape saying Iraq was God's war and also has said numerous times that she will see what doors God opens to her concerning her 2012 run.

What is wrong with believing in God and believing that God would guide her on whether or not to run for president? Like it or not 70 plus percent of the USA claims some sort of religious association with a judeo-christian belief structure. And saying something like if god tells me to, is completely valid within that judeo-christian belief structure. Just to show you, even Obama (someone who leave's out "by our creator" when quoting the declaration of independence) felt the need to get involved with (what I'll loosely call) a "church" however misguided...

Do these 70% also believe that Adam and Eve used to ride dinosaurs like this O'Donnell character does? If believing in God is what helps get you through the day, and makes you feel like a better wholesome person, I'm happy for you. But making critical decisions on your life, or worse yet, deciding critical policies as a political leader of this country solely on the basis that "God told me to", sets a very dangerous precedence.

"God told me that Iranians are evil. God told me those who practice the Muslim faith will do us harm. Thererfore, I believe my faith dictates that we go to war with Iran. God also told me we shouldn't put our fellow Americans into further harm, so I'm deciding to utilize our nuclear armaments on the Iranians. This is for the greater good of the country. May God bless everyone. Your President, Sarah Palin."
