thanks EMTP. I am not sure what my next fish will be. been testing the parameters every day and the changover went very smooth no spikes, so I think I am fairly safe. going to give it a few more days to be sure. gotta pick up a bunch more snails and such for my cleaner crew.

and here are the new additions. a CBB and an algae blenny. it was hgard to get a good shot of the new butterfly, he's moving around a lot trying to establish where he can and cant be due to the other fish in the tank. I didnt want to wait too long to add fish due to my pygmy angel being a prick to new adds if he's established his domain.

thanks guys (and girls) I'm suprised my tang doesnt seem to have a problem with the butterfly, being of similar body styles I thought they would be the problem, but its the coral beauty being the tool. hopefully he doesnt harrass the Cbb to much I would hate to rip apart my 125 to catch that coral beauty.

picked up a bunch of half dead corals on the cheap today (aka free) will post pics in the Am. lights are out. I got a half dead hydnophora, a half dead acan, and a decent piece of green monti cap. I also grabbed a blue tip acro. I'm hoping I can start keeping SPS again. I miss all my colorful twigs.

Added about 50-60 LBS of live rock to the sump. the sump is now maxed out on rock. I cant fit any more in if I tried. Removed almost all my cheato algae to do so. moved my algae screen over to the 125 and put a brighter light on it. I'm hoping the algae screen will at least equal the consumption of the cheato. we'll see. and there is a second light in the rear shining down on what l;ittle cheato I could fit in there.
also beggining to plan out the basement sump system. had a couple brainstorms about using an old chest freezer or similar lined and re-enforced because my basement is very cold. not sure may just build a mini room down there and insulate it.

The picture of your scrubber made me wonder. I remember the smell of algae at the ocean. Is there a strong smell from the algae growing on the scrubber out in the open air with water running over it like that?
