Is it just me or is that room an electronic nightmare?

Ballasts on the floor, ballasts on the wall, wires like spaghetti everywhere!!!

Cool update! Can't wait to see this baby all the way going. That mess is nothing compared to some of the houses with tanks I've been in. :nightmare:

ok I have now got the plumbing ran down to the sump. and I managed to get the skimmer under the stand.
the wife nixed the multi sump idea.she doesnt want extra tanks beside the tank, etc. she was nice enough to let me set up the 125 so, thats just how its got to be.
for now I am just going to run my old 30g sump, with ATO. possibly at some point this summer I will create a basement sump. food for thought. pictures a little later. I am mixing up saltwater to fill the sump with. since I build my overflows adjustable, it may almost be enough to get the sump circulating up to the tank. but maybe not.
I also have to place and hook up my powerstrips and wavemaker. add my additional powerheads. etc. still have a lot to do, along with tending to my aquascape.

the rest of the saltwater is in the tank (sump) everything is doing great.
I still need to rework all of my aquascape and place my corals where I want them. this tank now that its full of water didnt seem that big when I was working on it seem quite large now that I have everything in it and the rock work only goes about half way up it vbefore I do any real structure building. I'm, excited about all the extra room.
anyone think 5 fish is too many for a 125 or could I add another fish....
hopefully tonight after work I'll be able to aquascape and set my corals. I have to dig a bunch of base rock out of one of my other tanks. should eb fun with the trigger guarding my large pieces.
somehow the pictures just dont do justice to the size of this tank compared to my 75g.

Its looken great!
Nice idea about adjustable overflows. It depends on what those five fish are. If they are five small fish (gobys, blennys, dartfish, etc) they you could add a lot more, if they are five big fish (tangs, foxfaces, triggers, etc) then I would say just a personally choice if or if not to have them, because you would probably need to do more water changes,etc..

LOL thanks fishkid, the fish question was mostly a joke, its one scopas tang, two GS maroon clowns, one coral beauty dwarf angel, and a six line wrasse.
I will be adding more fish at some point. I just havent figured out what yet.

got my aquascaping done, like usual when finished I am not 100% satisfied (I dont think I ever will be). but it looks pretty good I want to see how the corals react to their placement.
added 4 more powerheads for water flow and a second return pump to increase the turnover and flow through rate (god I love the built in overflows SOOOOO much better than an OFB.
anyhow here are a couple pics (seems like I only take pics when the water is all cloudy from crap getting kicked up but what can you expect after aquascaping)
Oh! I almost forgot I went with a super shallow sand bed in the DT first time ever. total sand depth is 1 or less inches. I am going to set up a remote DBS soft plumbed to my closet. I had an epiphany. we'll see how it works out. stay tuned for the remote DSB.

I'll get some more pictures in the morning when its totally clear. as well as qa couple top downs to show the depth of the rock work. 2 dimensional pictures never really show the intricacies of depth very well.
