Did you get them back in time? I've never heard of Chromis and Clowns jumping, but all fish will jump if something scares them. well the results are in from the wet run.
i have both drains slightly throttled back by ball valves. did this to make it quite.
the mag18 return pump is just slightly throttled back also. like i said no leaks and very peaceful. runs great.
i did this test saturday night after work. i was up to 7 am finishing the tank.
i started at 9 pm. late to some but i work nites so this is just the morning for me.
this is what i did:
wet run the new system.
drain fresh tap water that was used for wet run into turtle tank. clean water for them.
move tank and stand back.
started filling with established water i had in totes.
got enough then put in some live rock on the bottom.
filled tank will all water. as it was filling i would keep stacking the live rock.
once DT was filled with water and live rock, next came the sump.
fill return chamber with water, and the return chamber with water.
through the sand in the fuge part, poured more water.
filled sump to correct hieght.
put all the live sand in the DT.
turned pump on went to bed.......

woke up. looked, settled nicely. not completely, but you could start to see the rock.
through canopy on top.
turned on lights.
went to work.
came home tank looked great.
decided enough sand settled lets put the new koralia's in.
fired them up.
and were off to the races.
with in two days the tank was completely settled and the lights look great. same lights just havent been on for 2 weeks. so to me they look great. any reefer knows what im talkin bout.

no casualties.......

SALINITY= 1.021 (would like it to be around 1.025)
NITRATE= 0
NITRITE= 0
pH= 8.2
AMMONIA= 0
CALCIUM= 440
PHOS= 0
KH= didnt test for, cant find test
all looks good for it going back together. on saturday, some fish and all coral will be going back in.

wow 8-10-07 damn too long.....while the batteries are charging, here's aliitle bout the tank...
i added three 175w halides and two 4" fans to the canopy... major major difference. corals are responding great. corals yes, pics coming. but a short list of the occupants.
coral:
21 different zoo colonys
5 different leathers
8 defferent shroom bundles
1 keny tree forest. hahaha
1 monti
1 frogspawn with 5 heads now
1 hammer with 3 heads now
1 massively growing GSP
couple other odds and ends...
the hammer coral i lost for bout 6 months, then it appeared (sounds crazy but thats how it happened). they were very bleached white cause of lack of light. they are responding extremely well and fully colored back up.
fish:

royal gramma
pair of baby false percs
school of 9 chromis
flame angel in QT
fish count is very low. went coral first and establish the water. so i could slowly start adding fish. i will have a good mix of fish for size and color. but based on my set up, age of tank, filtration equipment. i can have a pritty good vary of fish.
