Which you clearly did.
McLaim is a moron. Don't get me wrong, but one thing he has been consistent on is his stance on the war in Iraq. If you want to dog him, why not talk about his "green" ideas, or his almost defection to the dems or his opposition to the Bush tax cuts. Those are some serious issues. But his war stance vs Obama's. That is just laughable.
BTW none of you Obama coolaid drinkers, have yet to answer why a "surge" is needed in Afghanistan but it didn't work in Iraq?
I do like Obama; I think he is the better candidate. That said, I'm not about to defend something I disagree with. I like the guy but I don't agree with everything he says or does.
Dogging McCain on the many areas where he's very weak isn't fun -- it's a lot more enjoyable to go after him on the ONE area that should be his strength.

That is fine, but you're just grasping for straws with your arguments with McCain.
Saying McCain has flip-flopped. When his position has always been, when the conditions on the ground dictate his actions. VS Obama who started out saying, I'll get us out in 18 months, then goes to say, well maybe, then we'll see, then back to 18 months once the conditions on the ground look like they are improving. He is saying what he thinks the electorate want him to say.

Anyone see the new ad out, I think it has played on MTV? It says flip flop was a good description for Kerry but does not fit now.
The new one is Both Ways Obama! Because that is how he wants it, both ways to suit his immediate political needs.

Yeah, Kerry made the classic flip flop. Hillary did in this election during the debates when she was twisting in the breeze over illegal alien drivers licenses.
When you can explain why you changed your position it isn't a flip flop, it's not being to stubborn to change.

Right, but I don't think Obama has flipped or explained why, he just uses both positions, whichever one fits the moment.

Obamas latest Both Ways
He wanted Pres. Bush to boycott the opening ceremonies for the Olympics. Now I heard on the radio (XM POTUS 08) that he has put up $5 million for advertising on the Olympics. Either you don't agree with the Chinese human rights issue or it doesn't matter you can't have it Both Ways.

And why is it his strength... I get he was a POW, and that he has been a Senator for a long time... but in an area of his life where he had many failures... including being at the bottom of his class at Annapolis, and also the fact that he left the Navy, because Admiral was no longer a possiblility... it just seems to me he got by on the legacy of his father and grandfather... There is nothing in his background IMO that suggests he would be some great Commander in Chief... look at what the gunhoe mentallity got us for the last 8 years. Isn't he credited for punching out a guy on a Foreign Affairs trip in the 80's? Diplomatically, I believe he is severly disadvantaged... I also question his judgment.
And why does he get so much credit for being a POW? I understand and thank him for his service... but didn't he attempt suicide as a POW? I raise these questions because I think its just a perception thing, and not really about what makes a good leader.

the advertising dollars have nothing to do with China and human rights violations... He is not giving this $ to China television stations... the money will be spent for air-time in the U.S... And Bush should have done something about China...problem is we owe them too much money to say anything... just like with all the "tainted/poisonous" products and foods they've been shipping to us.

Rylan, McCain served in the military and almost paid the ultimate price. Further, two of his sons have served in combat rolls in Iraq. I believe one of them is still over here.
So, when he talks about understanding the military, he has quite a bit more education as opposed to a freshman senator that never served and only recently visited the war zones.

LOL, put the medal tossing kerry's questionable service on a pedestal and glorify him as qualified because he was on a pt boat. But McCain, naa, his service means nothing.

When offered early release by the North Vietnamese because his father was an admiral McCain turned it down because he understood it was a propaganda ploy by the north. He stayed with the others at the POW camp and came out with the rest. Getting shot down is hardly a resume maker but his show of courage, judgement and integrety as a POW sure as heck is.

I actually agree with you here except I question the wisdom of a political campaign running commercials during sporting events. Maybe he can hire the marketing firm that does the beer commercials during the superbowl

Stay on subject, The Olympics are a time to honor the achievements of the athletes and to put all political differences aside to come together, not to take advantage of a large purse and purchase millions of dollars in political advertising. He is an opportunist just as bad if not worse than any others.
If he were president he would boycott the Olympics was what he said and now here he is using them for his personal and political gains. What a ...............................

Weren't you just complaining yesterday about misrepresentation of the facts? What you posted here is not only untrue but completely insulting and a lie. I'm disgusted you'd suggest that democrats would support mandated abortions, are anti religion and are pro censorship. If this is what you believe you are either deluded or ignorant. I think for the most part a lot of what's posted here is fun and it's interesting to see a different view but for one of the first times I am disgusted and pissed off.

Every heard of he "fairness" doctrine? How about the calls to prosecute the "global warming detractors?"
What about the ACLU and their all out attack of everything religious? The politically correct christmas?
Mandating abortions, well that was a bit of a joke. Maybe I should have said government funded abortion? Yet even suggesting parental consent for abortion or banning partial birth abortions brings the banshees out of the woodwork. You can't get a tattoo without parental consent as a minor, but you can kill your unborn baby...
Don't even get me started on the economic topics.
I feel like my statement was above board, and can prove every point. (minus government mandated abortions)
You're ticked off, I am too, no one in their rights should advocate the garbage that the left advocates. When I remove the media sugar coat even you don't like it...

Just don't agree with some of there ideas. Now if Colin Powell had ran for President .We would have someone in office with better ideas. Even he got out when Bush started his stupid crap.

I disagree with your logic.... Boycotting the opening ceremonies is a sign or a statment to the Chinese gov't, American commercials or television is not. You are talking about two different things... and for an American audience... having commercials during the Olympics is a smart thing to do... I am in advertising and the most sought out advertising in television is based off ratings... which the Olympics will rule for the next couple weeks. This is the most effective way for him to get his message out to "Americans" in all walks of life, backgrounds, and political affliations.

If Powell were to endorse one of these guys, would that have any impact on who you would vote for?
