the blue throat is good in a reef that dont have shrimp in it.they will eat them up.other than shrimp mine didnt bother any snails or hermits.

Yes I will get a picture of them up here, been busy, busy. Nigers are reef safe, lol. Mine loves to dig and make new holes in the sand. so far has never messed with any of my corals. Although he has moved a rock with polyps on it. But that is because he is an ******** designer. And likes his rocks in certain places. Haha I will get those pictures up . Beautiful blue throat by the way. :hi:

i have 4 tangs and a couple other fish but my favorite is my flame hawk.he dont bother the shrimp but not to say others wont.if you get 3 inch or bigger shrimp he should be fine.but he is bright red and is always perching on the rock then swimming.he is a cool fish

I know...they are expensive though....$60 here. Don't want to gamble really on them and the shrimp though...any other personable fish suggestions for my 120g reef?

My Niger doesn't even bother my shrimp. I have peppermint shrimp, he goes up to the shrimp, the shrimp touches his face. The Niger stays real still then swims away. I know they are not cleaner shrimp, but it looks like he is getting a facial. But no all my shrimp and crabs are accounted for.

How old excatly?? Not sure he was about 3 inches when we bought him so he must be..idk less than a year. We got him in January . He is friendly. I've not had a problem with him going after anyone or biting. BUT...he is a trigger and I've read they can all get aggressive with age. So we just keep an eye. My son bought it as a present for his dad. How do u day no? We didn't know much about triggers before that. But so far so good. They are supposed to be the more passive of the bunch. Maybe someone has more dealings with an older one. Id like to know how they are then .
