Tiff - i don't know if it's good idea to pick on her... it may stress it out even more.
Keith - You sir are very lucky. My huma and clown trigger was shiva the destroyer to all shrimps, crabs and snails alike. It will find ways to flip it and make a meal out of it... I saw how it trapped one of my skunk cleaner one side of my tank in between the rocks and trying to wedge in there to eat it.... it was straight from finding nemo. (bruce and submarine) eventually it ate the skunk cleaner, peppermint, firefish, lionfish (picked at it's fins until it died) and about 10-20 hermits and snails a month (just hermits and snails didn't buy the expensive shrimps after that). I hope it does well in your tank then it did on mine.
I know that you are very experienced reefer so I have no doubt that you will be able to handle it in the right way if anything occurs. I hope that it will stay docile and won't know that it can be eaten lol. Oh and 1 recommendation, never feed them live food. I used to do that when I had my lion fish and it learned that it can eat live things and things never went same after that. My niger was very skittish but soon learned from my other triggers. It's doing fine in my dad's tank now.

I do see what you are saying and totally understand. It is a huge risk I am taking here. My wife's Niger is O.C.D. it does figure 8's around the powerhead ALL day, it's retarded, but always comes up to the glass to greet her.
Now Titan, my huma huma, is small. He does leave things alone so far, and does get cleaned from time to time by the cleaner shrimp. Lately he has been watching the clowns in their corals. I saw him go into the hammer coral a few times with only his head sticking out. The clown cautiously pushed him out Lol...
I just have to use extreme caution when and if I add a new shrimp to the system. I have no idea what hes going to do. So, I will not test those waters.
Thanks for the kind words my fellow trigger enthusiast

Lol, no worries.
You know how much I loved my triggers. ;)
My clown is doing well in Hawaii by the way in a freaking 200+ g tank. From what I heard it nearly doubled it's size must be very happy living in a big house instead of cramped tank of mine.

True. I called my buddy's widow yesterday and they are doing great and she was telling me how much the fish were being loved by the little girl. It made my day even though I had to work yesterday out of the blue. (total of 74 hours of work this week)
Yea, funny thing is that my huma is exactly like your wife's niger. She used to do figure 8 in the middle of the tank continuously and funny thing is my clown would join him then occasionally my clown will hit the huma by accident and huma will raise hell about it lol.
Only if they are reef/invert safe and create no sand storm, I would put another huma and clown in my tank in a heart beat.
