okay so ill let it sit for a few days with tap water to make sure it holds...I've got to do all the plumbing still anyways.

some more pictures!!!! It stands 6'3" with the hood on. I just put a 48 inch light in it just to see how it looks....bubbles are on the front thats what you see. The little step stool to the right of the tank isnt going to cut it! lol

the hood is so heavy I almost broke my back putting it on...ugh lol. Going to let it sit for one more day for leaks and stuff and going to start filling it tomorrow...hopefully ill finish plumbing it by wed/thurs.
i need a taller ladder!

I showed my husband a picture of your tank and I told him I can't wait to have a huge one some day too....the way I see it, if he wants his man-cave to have a 'golf simulator' than I get to have a giant tank! I love this thread, I'm living vicariously through you Tiffany. Keep up the great work and keep the pictures coming!

hahaah exactly! My dude made our backyard a putting green...wait wait let me rephrase that, our ENTIRE backyard. On top of that, my spare bedroom is filled with car parts. I can have whatever size tank I want! lol

okay update: since I will be out of town for xmas and my mom is watching my house, I'm going to wait until I get back to start filling her up. I can't imagine something going wrong while i'm away and my mom having to deal with it. She knows how to top off the sump and that's about it. (I will have an auto top off on the big tank for sure) So you and I will all have to wait
