Many people won't care about it, but the dedication he had towards the peace process in Nothern Ireland was great and his work there helped to make great strides.

I will admit this is ONE of a few things I can think of that he did that actually was significant. But does this classify him as one of the greatest presidents in history, Does he rank up there with Lincoln, Roosevelt, JFK, and Reagan?

Of course not.

The political fund raising, all that stuff is unfortuanately how things are done in Washington.

Bad President? You still have Freedoms don't you? President Bush is great! He was asked what was a moment in his life that changed him completley. President Bush said, "When Jesus Christ came into my life." Reagan wasn't afraid to say anything about God...same with President Bush but not as much as Reagan.
I don't care what a President is like as long as they actually know how to run our country...unlike Clinton and a few others...As long as our President is a very very strong Christian!

Just a small note to all of you reading this...
We aren't fighting a War on Terror. Terror is an inanimate object. We are fighting a war on Radical Islamic people. Prophesies are coming true...just let that soak in your head for a few minutes and think.

Forget the war for a minute... Bush just vetoed stem cell research AGAIN. Oh yeah, great president. Why would we want to cure a disabling ailment such as multiple sclerosis? Much better to have thousands of americans rolling around in wheelchairs!
But at least his buddies can produce terrorists at an alarming rate (Saudi) or commit crimes with no fear of a prison sentence (Lewis Libby). Now the Bush supporters won't argue with any of this, they'll just reference Clinton's inadequacies.
While I generally respect opposing viewpoints, I have to say honestly, that I think anyone who thinks Bush is been even mediocre as president is just a blind supporter... he has done NOTHING that has benefited the country.

Actually, the stem cell research he vetoed was on fetal stem cells which has NEVER produced any results, while adult stem cells have, makes more sense to me to pour more money in adult stem cell research (which he has done) than to waste time on something that has NEVER produced a single positive result. This topic is just one for people to complain about with no grounds to stand on. I disagree with BUSH a lot, mainly his over abundant spending habits. But this is one area I see no reason to spend further money in a fruitless process....use the money for other stem cell research which is working makes more sense.
Saying he is a good president because he is a faithful Christian and supports religion is a naive statement. No leader should be judged on his faith....
As for how he handled Iraq and post 9-11...only time will reflect that. Lincoln wasn't well liked during his presidency either, but was later viewed as the greatest president in our history....

I thank the Lord that Bush vetoed stem cell research!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah!!!!!!! I'm strongly against stem cell research. I don't even care if it could save my life because I'm gonna die someday and go to Heaven. I have a cure for everything. His name is Jesus. He can cure anything, anytime too. If you don't know Him...He's a GREAT and AWESOME person!!
You my friend are blind. You don't even understand morals. Killing babies?! I bet God is just shaking His mighty head like, "You people need morals you're not supposed to kill others!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Bush did not veto stem cell research... research the subject a bit further.
Libby's "crime" was the exact same thing that Clinton did. They both lied under oath.
I'd say folks hate the President and are blind to his accomplishments. He pulled us out of Clinton's recession, gave us across he board tax cuts, protected us from terrorists (where as Clinton failed seven times..) etc.

To your 1st Paragraph...never said that. No I don't think leaders should be judged on his faith. I'm not judging. Now if we had a non-Christian leader...I'd be scared to death to see what would happen.
Lincoln...Never liked him...except for the racial barriers that he started to break.

I had to put this up...too funny not to throw into the mix! Note, this is not my opinion.
George W. Bush’s Actions Are Immoral and Not Christian
If George W. Bush were really a good Christian man why would he wage an endless war on terror based on lies and propaganda? It has already become clear that the war in Iraq was based off of lies and has thus far resulted in the deaths of nearly one million people. It is also becoming increasingly clear that the attacks of September 11th, 2001 were a government inside job, meaning that the entire war on terror that Bush promotes is also based off of lies and falsehoods.
The United States is spending close to one billion dollars building an embassy in Iraq that is going to be as big if not bigger than Vatican City. How can Bush justify spending this money on an embassy when Baghdad is still in shambles and the Veteran’s Administration in the United States is in complete disarray? It is clear that Bush doesn’t care about U.S. military personnel, or the Iraqi people. Instead, Bush is more concerned with building a new modern day version of Babylon as part of an effort to further the influence of his satanic New World Order masters. Bush and his New World Order masters believe that they themselves are living gods on earth and exempt from divine judgment.
The evidence is overwhelming. George W. Bush’s association with these secret societies coupled with his actions that have caused an untold amount of death and destruction is clear proof that he worships Satan. We are demanding that Bush and any other member of his administration that poses as a fake Christian and worships Satan in secret be removed from office immediately.

Scooters crime was absolutely NOT the same as Clinton's. Scooter was CONVICTED of obstruction of justice, meaning he PURPOSEFULLY AND WILLFULLY impeeded the investigation of a crime. I am not saying Clinton was the best thing since sliced bread, but he didn't cut VA funding leaving my husband in limbo. He also didn't give my husband a bullet proof vest that couldnt stop a bebe gun (My husband had to steal the plates from dead insurgents to protect himself). By the way President Bush doesn't spend that much time on Bin Laden because he is not in Afghanistan, it's a fact. Burning the opium fields and causing unemployment to run rampant through the country is what we are spending time on.

Oh and to comment on the "there have been no more attacks on US soil" right but they are STILL attacking. Hello read the paper London and Glasgow ring a bell??? They are our allies, still attacking people! Also Condi was made WELL aware by the outgoing administration in JULY that an attack on US soil was eminent. Not to mention who Bush the 1st was watching the attacks with on TV anyone? Ok so you didn't hear! I will tell you since you missed it.
On the very morning of 9/11 George W. Bush's father was meeting with Osama bin Laden's brother , Shafig Bin Laden, in the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Carlyle ... They watched it together, wasn't that sweet!

Is it Bush or Pelosi/Reid and company that are trying to NOT fund our troops?

Agree. No Prez in history has had more thrown on their plate than GW right off the bat. IMHO Gore would have folded like a cheap suit.

So..the previous Administration knew it was coming...again. What did they do? I thought it has been made more than evident that the world hated us because of Bush. Not before Bush.
