People believe in his pedigree and that he will be great so most teams would take Eli over Romo since Romo is a nobody. HOWEVER, NO WAY and i mean NO WAY!!! can any of you tell me that Eli is playing better than Romo right now or for that matter for any 4 game stretch this year. You all know deep down that right now, this sunday, Romo is the better QB than Eli

Every one of you, wether you admit it or not, would rather have Romo starting for you this week than Eli and thats a fact!
youre wrong there... Eli may be in a slump, and i would still want him on the feild over romo ANY day of the week... it is not just his name that got him to where he is today... amazingly enough they do have to play in the game...

Are you telling me that right now he is better than Romo? Has he been better the last 4 weeks than Romo? When exactly again will he have a better game than Romo?? Who was better this week?
Right now, no question, Romo is better than Eli and gives ANY team a better chance of winning. Eli looks completely lost, Romo looks like he is a 10 year vet. Whatever may happen in the future aside, Romo is WAY better than Eli RIGHT NOW!
By the way, Check Romos stats in college, small school but HUGE numbers. He knows how to throw the ball

If Jones is allowed to leave next year and Barber is our full time starter, he will DEFINITELY be better than Cadillac. GUARANTEED!

your second year guy is not the calibur of Cadillac... thats why he doesnt start... those 9 TDs are prolly from a yd out, in which Alstott or Pittman go in when the Bucs are there... and your starter has yet to break 1,000 yds....

LOL!!!! your a friggin nut look what Jones did in 7 games in his rookie year
2004 Dallas Cowboys
Games 7
Att 197
Yards 819
Avg 4.2
Long 53
TD 7
20+ 4
1st downs 44
This is after coming back from a major injury. Then the next year
2005 Dallas Cowboys
Games 12
Att 257
Yards 993
Avg 3.9
Long 51
TD 5
20+ 4
1st Downs 47
Despite injury again
and at this point in the season he is allready at 813 yards despit platooning half and half with Barber.......... are you kidding me? Talk about double standard.... you always seem to bring up the half ass players on crap teams ... Cadilac is by no mean a Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, O.J....
LOL i cant take this next your going to say Joey Galloway is the best receiver ever . WOOOOOOOO my gut hurts.

i am saying Eli is a better QB... Romo is performing good right now and has proven that Parcells made the right choice between the QBs he has...

SLUMP?!?!?!?! This is the longest slump of all time!!! Can you even be in a slump if you were never good to begin with???? When exactly was he good?? He has an incredible supporting cast and his numbers stink and always have! Hes never finished a season with a rating of 76.0 or a completion percentage of 53% Is that a joke???? he completed 52.8% last year?!?!!?!! That is pathetic!!!!! 60% is the absolute MINIMUM to be even considered bigtime now and really 63%. He even under 58% now!! Will he ever get to 60%??? Romo is at 68.2% for gods sake and hes a nobody who stinks apparently!!!!
Yeah, Eli plays in the games. Hes the one stinking it up costing them wins!

There is no point to this...only backs that play for Dallas are better...QB;s that play for Dallas are better..it is only to what degree they are better than all others in the nfl and/or any name that can be floated as perhaps being better than ROmo/Jomes/barber/ Witten/Jack or Jill..
The bare facts...Dallas has talent on their team and may in fact win the east based on the numerous injuries the Giants now have plus the McNabb injury. THe skins are a non-factor but could play spoiler.
The point of the thread..Romo...has played well..but too early to tell if he is the real deal or just a few games wonder...time tells all.
I realize there is a big nfl world out there as does most COwboy fans as well. Great players on many tems..some may ahve stats better than COwboys players..while others may not based on a team situation this year...but still have more talent.

So funny, you always pull that. I never said Jones is better than LT or about 15 other guys. BUT CADILLAC???? Its hardly a fact that Cadillac is better than Jones. And i never said Romo was better than Eli or any other Qb. I said, RIGHT NOW, he is better than Eli and that isnt even disputable. Eli looks lost every game, Romo looks like a pro bowler every game. When that changes say Eli is playing better. Until Eli stops looking clueless or Romo comes down to earth, Romo is the better QB this year

and so your saying that Romo has NO supporting cast??? he is doing this all by himself??? get your story straight... doesnt he have "one of the best ground games" and 4 of the most talented WR's in the game or so said by you and Ben...
Eli is a better QB... PERIOD...
and no Ben i dont think that Galloway is the Best WR he is as good as Glenn a very solid WR...

Im not crowning anybody but you certainly are quick to right this guy off
Cad had 1200 yards in 13 games
Jones had 813 in 7 games that is less than half of a season. if you guy by average jones would have racked up around 1700 yards while cad would have racked up about 1450.... it is not fair to say oh he has never broken a thousand yard when he has sustained a injury that kept him out for 9 games

I think Romo has a great supporting cast, probably the best in the NFL. YOU KEEP SAYING THEY ALL STINK! Apparently, we dont have any players better than the hapless bucs according to you.
Eli's name is better that is for sure but not his play on the field. When was he good, tell me? I doubt he's had a better 4 game stretch in his career than what Romo just had(IN FACT, A QUICK CHECK REVEALS THAT HE PROBABLY HAS NOT!!!). Just let me know when he has a decent game again much less a better game than Romo

The Cowboys do have one of the best ground games and do have excelent receivers in TG and TO Hurd and Crayton compliment them well also... Im not saying he doesnt have a supporting cast , im defending our running game.
But look who Eli has Tiki, Shockey, a far better Oline. Yet he continues to make stupid mistakes. Even ESPN was willing to admit that last night saying that he got a early christmas present on s stupid play.
Galloway isnt close to TG status .... please now I know your trying to make me laugh ..... please post both players stats and see what im talking about.
Ive never heard of TG close to being benched .... I have heard of Galloway almost being benched 4 times this year

No, I am stating NO nfl team would rather have Romo right now than an Eli Manning.
Only some fantasy hacks would make that selection..but nfl GM;s are concerned with the present and future..as opposed to somone that may simply be a flash in a season.

if shoulds n buts were candies n nuts... so stats arent stats???

YOUR SAYING A PLAYER DIDNT BREAK THE 1000 YARD MARK IN HIS ROOKIE SEASON BUT HE ONLY PLAYED 7 GAMES AND RACKED UP 813 YARDS!
