Thanks nova - she is giving it the jack russel death stare - I had to put the doors back on I was afraid she was going to jump in the fuge, thanks for looking.

Well today I got The sump fuge skimmer running today. Skimmer was a piece of cake, really happy with the ease of setting it up. Everything looks good so far. Pictures after supper.

Pictures as promised. I also included my BTA - it is really dark in color, like I have never seen it. Thanks for looking.

The last thing to set up is my ATO off - I have a few questions, my options are to add a resersvoir behind the couch or add a reservoir above the canopy at the back. Now how do you prevent siphoning when the pump is off if the reservoir and the sump at at the same height?

They are in so good to see some fish in this tank again. The clowns went right to the nem and the cardinals into the caves.

So your top off should not be higher than the sump, I think I might put it in the basement.
Yep, I think he was saying that if the water level in the reservoir is higher than it is in the sump than gravity will cause it to drain untill the two levels are equal. Also, if you did keep the level in the reservoir lower then you need to keep the feed hose above/out of the the water so that you don't get a backwards siphon going when the pump goes off.
But if you did the gravity feed and had the reservoir up on your canopy then a float valve actually cuts off and turns on the flow of water. Still could be risky if the float valve every became stuck.

I tried the gravity feed on the SW before the sump was installed it became a disaster. I think a reservoir in the basement raised up high would work.

Here are a few more pictures, you know how I like pictures, bit of bubble algae and hair algae from before hopefully the new system takes care of it. Last picture is a bug - good or bad?

Alright I know I have been boring you with too many pictures, but this is new - lion tank set up and running. The lights are T5HO but I took them from my FW planted tank. I have to get some actinic bulbs for this tank. I only put some xenia, mushrooms and yellow polyps in the lion tank. Now the reef was really clear before I started up the lion tank so hopefully by tomorrow it clears up. Thanks for looking, let me know what you think.

Morning, I want to add a couple more fish to my 65 reef, I am setting up a 30 gallon QT. I am thinking of a trio of Maldives Lyretail anthia s, right now I have two clowns, 2 bangai, 2 chromis, 1 bi-colored blennie. I think 3 anthias might be a bit much, how do they do on their own, single fish. Thanks

They can do well as a single fish. I lost two of my repslendents (they did not ship well seemed to be ok and then died but they never exhibited typical anthias behavior of swimming). My last anthias swims throughout the tank and is quite active and a voracious eater. I think you can do a trio with good feedings and good water parameters. You could always put the bangaii in the sea horse tank when that is ready.
I will be adding two more resplendents from another source on Friday. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Corey and Gemmy - might have a job catching them but I might try Slice's fish trap. Thanks for the suggestions Gemmy - I will look into those as well. I took a few more pictures tonight, you know me. I moved the toad stool leather to the lion tank i thought it was too big for the reef.

Al, the tanks are looking really nice. I like the toadstool better in it's new spot. What a big difference it makes having the corals in the tank. Excellent upgrade from it's origional set up.
BTW, has anybody started using the cave yet?
