not saying you are wrong but thats crazy contradicts what i have been told so your saying 3/4 inch the whole way.
so an inch the whole way was a bad idea huh.

you see water can only flow so fast by gravity through a 1 inch pipe but your pump can push more water through a smaller pipe no problem. head loss is the amount of gph you loose after the pump has to pump it up x amount of feet

no not at all 1 inch is fine im saying add a second line from your overflow box to your sump. your 1 1inch return line is fine

just to clarify you do have two 1 inch lines that go from your overflow box to your sump and a 1nch line that goes from your pump back to your tank

if that is the case than add more water to the system. it dose not mater if it is your sump or your dt it should all even out. then crank open your valve. dont laugh but unless your dt over flows then your doing it right

Grub, The noise can be delt with. You just need to add durso/stockman standpipes to the rear box. that shouldn't be a big deal.
Lets just get the thing draining first. Fill the DT up to the OF and the sump should be a good couple inches above the pump. You can also lower the inner OF box a bit so you can see if the DT going to overflow. The inner box just gives you the water level in the tank, nothing else.
