so far so good, chaeto looks like it may have grown a little bit but im going to give it more time before i can tell if the marina light is sufficient enough. It's not dying so thats a good sign.

i wanted to wait until the new year because im taking a long vacation at christmas and i wont be home. Though my sand is getting pretty brown, i might have to pick up a sand sifter this weekend on the black friday sale at the LFS.

thanks I like that one too. It gives him personality. I'm using a Canon SD600 6megapixel camera. I never use flash and I use the macro everytime for close ups.

hey whisk i have a 24 gallon aquapod as well i just ordered a koralia 1.. do you recommend me to put it in the back like yours... or i can put it in the front corner

put it anywhere you want that will allow the most flow in the tank. Usually an area that the return pump nozzle cant reach. I'm thinking about repositioning mine as well.

and also whisk .. i put my heater in the back right by the sponge... i want to put it on the glass.. does it matter where i put it

Sponges have been out the whole time. Nitrates dropped to zero at the end of week 2 and before I added my CUC. They have been steady at 5 this week.
I'll look into the rowaphos. I swear my sand bloomed today in browness.

Doesnt really matter where you put it. Mine is on the left chamber near the the middle divider. You might want to consider putting in that chamber too as thats where most people put it.
