Oh yeah, I forgot we took the land from them and gave them reservations.

Don't forget the beads and blankets.
I continue to be unable to understand why we fixate on symptoms and disregard the problem.
I would love to see a US politician....oops, make that a US Statesman, ask the Mexican President why his government is incapable of or unwilling to take care of it's citizens, to the point that those citizens are compelled to leave their homeland, risk life and limb, just to find a decent job.
True, meaningful compassion towards immigrants would concern itself with the conditions in Mexico that drives these folks away from their homes and families.

I think the corruption runs so deep in the Mexican government the only way it's going to be fixed is revolution. I bet if you put it to a fair vote of their citizens they might become part of the US. Not a bad idea if we could insure not a single politician of government employee there would ever hold those positions again, like that would ever happen.

Well, I didn't want to say that, but I agree, the most practical solution might be to annex Mexico.
Wonder what Hugo would say about that?!?

Kinda off topic, but do you know of a horse farm somewhere in Medford? Was looking on MLS the other day and saw an 11 acre horse farm with a 10,000 square foot main residence and a few smaller houses on the property listed for 4 million!
There's a few like that in this neighborhood. Fascinates me that there are million dollar homes here and then garbage around the corner. Ridiculous. Everyone's home is for sale in this town.

If you have a problem where you live, just move. Like I said before, if we send all the illegals back to mexico, why should we be able to stay here? This isn't our country. Our ancestors did the samething many years ago but the indians didn't send us back. This country was Never ours, never will be. The indians were here before us (germans, english, russias, etc..). Would it be right for the indians to deport us back to our home country. Let's ask them. Oh yeah, I forgot we took the land from them and gave them reservations.

I'm curious if you actually read the opening post?

And here I thought July 4th 1776 it became "our country"

Are you like 12 years old or really can't understand the concept of legal verses illegal immigration?

Illegal is illegal, I could care less what flavor they are.

Let's talk about here and now. There are 6 billion people on earth. Probably 5 billion want to come here for the opportunities our freedom provides. Can we accept all 5 billion? Of course not. So we have laws to allow a certain number in each year. Now, because Mexico treats their poor like rabid dogs, which is 95% of their citizens, to keep the super-wealthy minority in power, they want to come here. #1 How is Mexico's poor our problem? Why are we, a foreign country, responsible for their corrupt system and taking care of their welfare? #2 Why do Hispanics, "Mexican-Americans", demand that those who look like they do and have Spanish names be given special treatment that the Chinese, or Angolans, or Russians, or any other group doesn't get. There is alot of racism involved in this issue and it is a one-way racism. If someone is the "right" color/nationality then they deserve to be moved ahead of the rest of the world. That's the racism involved and it is this "Brown Power" mentality that is driving it. And if anyone (especially you Anglo scum) don't like it, you are the racist. The main Mexican-American group here in the US is La Raza. Guess what that means? It means THE Race, as in the superior or master race. I vote to deport the illegals that are caught here to Los Angeles and San Francisco, then we'll see how long they keep this stupid boycott up.
