its made by the twolittliefishies which makes phosban and other media. As far as i know, ive seen people use carbon and rowaphos(supposidily better than phosban but a lot more expensive), which is what im using.
The plastic clamps i got arent tight enough, do you guys recommend anything else i should be using? teflon tape?

i would recommend getting a quality skimmer, do some research never settle for less. You just end up getting the better skimmer later in this hobby. Do yourself a favor and never skimp on quality.
i wanted to make some homemade rock like in the garf website, and possibily selling it. How long would it take for it to cure fully to be able to be used in a tank? Woiuld throwing in some actual live rocks help?
thanks for the replys, you have answered the question that has been bugging me for a while. Even thought it was fairly obvious... the size of the skimmer helps, i thought it had to do with where the water was.
ive have t5's and i have PCs on another tank. I would go for the t5's, they have a better blue then the PC's the blue plus bulbs is what you should be using along with the MH.
not too sure about the VHO's since i never had it nor have i seen it in a tank in person.
