I just back from the Keys Sunday and I have about 20 lbs of sand I don't need. I someone is close by they have have it. I would hate for this live sand to die before it can bu used. I was just planning on letting it dry out and storing it. I live in Panama City, FL.

I have seen black mollies that have been acclimated to saltwater. But I don't know of other ones, at least ones for an aquariums.

I live in Panama City Fl and I have went out in the water and gotten sand for my tank and everything has been fine. It already has all the little creatures in it. Just ensure it's from a clean area and all should be fine. I've even gotten little hermit crabs the size of an eraser for the bay...

I use RO from one of the U-Fill-it stations, it's only .25 a gallon. Wal Mart has them in their store also. I have seen great improvement in the quality of my tank after switching from tap water.

One of mine is missing his front pinchers but it doesn't seem to affect im, the other one has already molted. I've only had them for a month. I caught them my self while SCUBA diving. Iwas diving a bridge span and they were all over the place. :)

Down here in FL I was talking to the lady that cuts my hair and she said the only thing she COULD have is fish. I was stationed in Montgomery before here and the was a restaurant there that had one there.

I have a wooden stand. It will be gravity feed down with an over flow box and power head to pump it back up. I found a great DIY plan for an over flow box made out of PVC.

Speaking of first corals, what would be a good first one?

I have a 55 FOWLR and would like to include a sump. I have an old 5 gal glass tank, would that be too small or should I build one that will still fit under my stand but have more volume. Thanks

I live Panama City, FL. It's in the Panhandle of Florida. In town there is only one store that carries saltwater fish and his selection isn't that great. A couple of months ago I was in Reston VA, for a training class and there was a GREAT store that that only dealt with saltwater fish.
