This is my 180 build project. Planning for a mixed reef with many fish. Equipment so far is:
Lighting-Nova 12x38w t5ho 72"
Skimmer- ASM G3 with sedra 5000
Heating- eheim 300w
Circulation- 4x Hydor Evo 750 gph
Sump-25 gallon wet dry with balls removed
Return pump- mag18

Went to LFS to help build racks and for compensation was asked what I wanted. I said live rock. Got probably 30-40 lbs.Put it in dry bag inside foam box. Get home put straight in qt tank LUCKILY. little did I know go back few hours later to seperate rocks into few other of my tanks tahdah I got...
Hello. Been awhile since I've been online and around here.... Been drawing up ideas for a mantis shrimp homestead. Here's a pic to show what I've came up with so far. Tank is 36"x16"x16". Shell will be 3/8" acrylic and baffles being 1/4". The trough from display to fuge is for filter sponge...
so seth you say above that moving DSB stirs up hyd. sulf. my question is how long does this take to disipate? perhaps this is why i cant get nitrate down? thanks man
hello to all, to start thanks for visiting my thread. for a bit of info about me and my aquariums, i have had many many freshwater tanks over the last 10 yrs. in January 2012 decided to splurge and go marine. thank god for tax refunds. so i bought and READ book after book looked over and again...
i have the coralife 65 on a 75 display and 10 sump... i was thinking that i was overworking it but now that i have read up on the skimmer post think its doing fine, as above needs no clearance for cup just patience for adjustments, i too have mine hanging on the wall of the sump.for now
check your rock....when i swapped to 40 for 75 my wrasse was gone, i was irate lol, got to pulling rock out of the totes to put back in the display and he was in the tote just a swimmin, good luck on the rebuild
