    NEW HERE

What saltwater tanks will ruin is your budget so be prepared to spend both a lot of time and money or don't bother (no offense but it's true). I vastly underestimated the time, effort, and money required to keep one and a lot of innocent fish died because of it. Granted it's the best hobby ever...

92 Gallon Corner Tank Build Thread!

It's for both cycling and then you can use it every couple of week as maintenance. When you add it make sure you leave your lights off for 48 hours like it says, works like a charm. But be warned, stuff smells nasty (it doesn't make your water smell though no worries).

92 Gallon Corner Tank Build Thread!

Nothing more exciting than a new tank start-up, good luck! I'm not an expert but the last tank I cycled was by far the fastest and easiest so far and I think a product called Special Blend really helped. I still use it and the tank is doing great. In fact I now use it in all of my tanks. You may...

Will my established Y Tang bother a new Diamond Back Goby?

I have an established 75 g. tank that has had a Yellow Tang and two Yellowtail Damsels that have been together in there for three years. I know there may be an issue if I add another fish so I was thinking perhaps a bottom dwelling fish would be safe. So do you guys think it would be safe to add...

    Suggestions For Easy First Coral

Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. I actually just added some shrums, they look great and seem to be doing fine. If things go well I think I may go with a green star polyp next, I have a perfect spot for it and I thinks it's pretty cool when it retracts when a crab walks across it and...

    How about a Fuzzy Chiton?

My LFS has one and the guy said he'd make a great addition to my CUC. Said the little guy was amazing at cleaning glass and rock. But, I can't really find many posts about them. Anyone have experience with these guys? I'm stroingly considering adding him to my 75 FOWLR CUC. Thanks!

Suggestions for Fish to Add to 75 g Tank

I'd consider donating the damsels, so that leaves me with the Yellow Tang, Clown, and 2 Cardinals. Do you think I could throw a Flame Angel into that mix? Or any other suggestions?

I need help on resealing my 125g tank

I just went through this with my 75, had to do it twice because the first time it still leaked. The only way to be sure it is sealed correctly is to scrape ALL the old silicone off using as many razor blades as it takes, get it all off. Then clean the glass with rubbing alcohol, making sure you...

    Suggestions For Easy First Coral

I have a well established 75 gal FOWLR tank, it has 6 coral safe fish and a CUC. I want to start adding a few easy to keep but still cool looking corals. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. BTW water parameters are excellent.

Suggestions for Fish to Add to 75 g Tank

Yup, I've had the same 6 fish in my 75 for over three years, I've just recently decided to add some new ones. I'll take a good picture of it. I bought a boat and couldn't afford both hobbies, so I stopped adding fish. Now the boat is gone and I'm trying not to make any mistakes. BTW I do a 10%...

    75 stocking list

My favorite fish ever was my Engineer Goby, got to be about 8" long and lived in a tunnel in the sand under my live rock. Everyone who saw my tank remarked about how cool looking he was, like an eel. Never bothered any other fish either, great fish IMO.

Suggestions for Fish to Add to 75 g Tank

I've had both the yellow tang and the yellow tail damsles for about 3 years, they're like old friends I really can't just get rid of them. Do you really think that's necessary, they seem pretty friendly? If I do keep them both what fish would you suggest? And thanks for everyone's help, it's...
